I wanted to add my two cents. I've been in LA for the last 7 weeks working with lots and lots of people. Pretty much everyone knows Adam now and it is all in a very good way. I no longer wait for the raised eyebrow when I mention his name. There is no more AMA shit, no more AI references unless it is an explanation to an uninitiated cretin. Then it might be "that glam kid from AI" but I never heard it said in a disrespectful way. There is a lot of anticipation about his next album but in a very positive way not in a way where anyone is expecting him to fail or hoping he does. As always it is about the almighty dollar, but Adam's career (and how nice that it is the same with his personal life) seems to be right on track. There appears to be more need for Adam to be in competition with Bieber and B Spears from his fans than from people in the industry. His newly acquired toned down persona makes many feel more comfortable and now when he does glam it up they see it as performance art or a young buck being out on the town not as who he is as a real person. The Grammy nod was huge in this regard. All in all, no matter what happens with #2 and I think it will be great, Adam has a career that will keep growing and improving. With that voice there is no other possibility.
Adam may not NEED the super superstardom that many of his fans need to feel that he has arrived. I could be wrong, but being a star, meeting people he has admired, working with people he considers talented, receiving props for his charity work, getting invited to places he would like to be, and knowing it is his voice that has gotten him here rather than some tricky PR moves engenders a quiet confidence that is a very good look on him.

He made another fan incredibly happy!!! She tweeted him I guess right before he started tweeting and he probably saw it. rach_eva @adamlambert I see your new avi and I approve so hard omg adamlambert @rach_eva thanks doll! rach_eva F I START CRYING, PLEASE DON'T HOLD IT AGAINST ME, OKAY. I LOVE YOU ALL <33333333333333333 4 minutes ago via web Reply Retweet MY HEART JUST STOPPED AT WORK AND I THINK RESTARTED AT 300 A MINUTE HOLY SHIT 8 minutes ago via web @adamlambert you are incredibly, incredibly welcome babe 9 minutes ago via web in reply to adamlambert OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG I love this whole exchange. It's Adam things like this that just make me incredibly happy and make me love him even more. BTW Adam - you can call me "doll" and "babe" anytime and I will have the same reaction as that lucky fan. Love.love.love. his new avi. *drool* ITA with all of this, but especially the doll part! I would freak out if he answered me like that. The "woops" is still spelled wrong! Ever since his fans laughed at him on twitter (woops, arg), I think he is leaving out the "h" on purpose now just to be "cute". ET: And ain't he cute the way he is interacting with us more now on twitter? How could I possibly love him more? ???

Keyboard- You have put voice to some of the things I've been thinking about in regards to Adam lately- the sense that he has figured out how to balance the everyday part of the "real Adam" and the performance part of the "real Adam", the appearance that people in the industry acknowledge his talent, his increasing confidence about his having earned a place in the industry- that all resonates with me. It's great to hear if from someone who has had a chance to see it in context.

I just voted again, he is at 54.55%, which is the highest I've seen (I've voted off and on the last couple of hours). And I agree, this is loading really slowly. ETA: Now at 56.62% it was up over 57% when i voted. and yes don't discount fan groups voting against Adam.
