I really don't understand the "he is better now than in 2012"... WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE TALKNG ABOUT? I know he stopped prostrating himself at the end of the show at the feet of B&R, but other than that? Are his vocals better? Are his interpretations better? Is his stage presence better? But ya, every next concert is "the best evah" ...that's that... I do not believe ever next concert is the best ever. But I do believe that Adam has evolved over the past 3 years and that this collaboration has developed immensely. Are his vocals better? Yes. Are his interpretations better? Yes. Is his stage presence better? Absolutely. Over the past 6 years, I have learned that.... 1. Adam live is different than Adam recorded, on live stream, recorded and on YouTube. 2. The live concert experience cannot be replicated even with the best DVD production. It is about 3. And even his vocals are different -- Adam has advanced vocally since 2012. He lower register is particularly improved. Just on the vocals -- which is not the total measure of an Adam performance -- let's take a song that could have been written for him: WWTLF. Vegas 2013 was a great advancement over Hammersmith 2012. IMO vocally Adam may never surpass WWTLF 2013 but he has made subtle changes to the vocal arrangement -- and I think that the Nottingham 2015 version is quite stellar and surpasses even Las Vegas 2013. On the opposite side of the spectrum, take "Stone Cold Crazy". This is a very difficult song to perform. It is not like any song Adam has ever performed. It is an aggressive, heavy rock, proto-metal song with rapid fire lyrics. IMO Adam has not nailed this song but London #2 2015 was his best go at this song to date. I expect he will continue to improve on this song. |

I checked Paris weather - not too bad, drizzle but not cold.... Hope for people just showing up at the box office, or we are going to have the first not sold out show of the tour, ironically at the smallest venue. What's up, France? This show will be sold out. |
