Just back from Paris concert. Fan small venue with great sound. Brian really went overboard bonding with the audience with his fluent French and extra special songs.
There were cheerleaders on backstage side leading the audience in various claps before the show started. I thought it might be Neil but might have been crew.
The floor was into every moment. People in seats more reserved (a few empty seats), but they dang and clapped along.
I was surrounded by UK Queen fans who saw a show over the padt couple weeks and wanted to see it again in a smaller venue.
Adam really sweaty - stage was hotter than usual or he was working extra hard trying to win converts over.
Brian flubbed his BoHo solo and you'll see him laughing about it with Neil. So wonderful to see these high caliber musicians work things out, esp when something derails slightly (it's dangerous after all). This small venue reminded me a bit of the Hammersmith shows in 2012. Looking forward to seeing some great photos since mine were a complete failure. Carry on!

It's hilarious to me when people say Adam can't sing rock convincingly in the Queen catalog because when I was in high school there were plenty of guys who sneered at Queen as not being rock. The exact same criticisms that are hurled at Adam now by Queen fans were what I consistently heard being slung at Freddie. Queen were never fully accepted as a rock band so it doesn't bother me at all if some idiot wants to declare Adam can't sing rock. It says a lot more about them than it does Adam. I think calling someone an idiot because they have a different opinion than you is unnecessary. As for what their opinion says about them, well it says they have a different idea of what a rock voice sounds like. Freddie's voice was more gritty and "hard worn" whereas Adam's voice is crystal clear and pristine. Most "rock" singers sound like they smoke 2 packs a day and gargle with glass LOL. Also, keeping in mind, the opinion of Freddie as the best rock voice in history evolved after his death so the same people who thought he sucked then probably hold him up as the gold standard now. It's hard to compete against a ghost and that's why Adam doesn't try. Hi I just want to say that I love all of your posts (not just in this thread; ALL OF THEM!) Oh, and to anyone getting upset over one or two less-then-blown-away tweeters: Let's put this into perspective. Q+A are playing to thousands of people a night. On this night in particular, the venue was the smallest since Vegas, and I'm going to estimate the crowd at 6,000 people. Of course, we know Adam did an amazing job. Let's say he had a whopping 99% of the crowd on his side by the end of the gig. That's not hard to imagine, given how the atmosphere was described. That means 5,940 people walked away having the time of their lives. I think that all of us can agree that 99% is an incredible success rate. That leaves 60 people walking away with negative feelings. If even one person in that one percent is somehow able to post their opinion online, somehow that is enough to bring the whole mood down over here and provoke attacks via Twitter (among other online mediums). It is honestly worth it? Are these people not entitled to their opinions, especially after actually seeing the show? They're different from people who bitch and parrot from behind their keyboards on the Queen FB page/QOL; they're people who gave it a chance and decided it was not for them. Think of the huge majority of the crowd who loved it. Heck, in the UK, I'd be willing to bet that he won over more than 99% of the crowd based on the fact that more than 99% of the tweets and reviews on Ticketmaster are positive to glowing. Despite that, there won't be a perfect 100% "conversion" rate at these concerts no matter how much you want there to be. It's just how it is - with different strokes for different folks - or different folks having different strokes....you get the idea.

Sounds like the response in Paris has not been as favourable as past concerts. Maybe different crowd, different sensibilities. But to some of the reaction to Adam particularly has been kinda negative. Sure thousands loved him. I just don't get paying a lot of money to see a singer, you profess you don't want to see lol. I mean really. Theirs no one really alive who can front Queen other then Adam. I wonder their reaction if Katy Perry fronted Queen haha. Not from what I am reading. What makes you think that?
