oh, but I'm sure there are plenty of artists releasing something every week... I guess it's the label's job to determine the best time, figure out the competition, etc., right? Kelly' single has been out for 3 weeks now and her album comes out March 3rd. That doesn't sound like an overlap. |

They are both bigger names than Adam. Maybe not Carrie, her song's is going to be released around Super Bowl. But if Kelly drops her single around the same time as Adam do you think it's not going to affect him? I remembered we had these convo whenever Adam planned to release his singles or album. FYE was released in November, favorite time to release single or album. His competition that week was not as bad as NAL's album. FYE was #3 on Billboard. The same thing with Trespassing.
PS. Looks like Kelly's album going to be released in March. oh, but I'm sure there are plenty of artists releasing something every week... I guess it's the label's job to determine the best time, figure out the competition, etc., right? just to clarify, Kelly's single has already been released. It was released a week or so ago and her album drops March 3rd so there will be no conflict with Adam's release at all. Not to mention Kelly and Adam don't compete with each other for sales or radio play because they are dissimilar enough artists that they can co-exist within the same market and both do well. Carrie is country and is absolutely no competition for Kelly OR Adam. |
