CatzmadamYes you're right about it but as you said the term has morphed from urban dictionary : used by gay men to complement female looking drag queens or transgender women that appear 'real' or too convincing to be men. see also 'fishstick' "Ugh! Why are there so many fish in the club tonight?" "Hey girl, look at you! You're looking fish tonight!"

re : Adam's tweet about his album. Yesterday there was A LOT of conversations going on twitter among Adam's fans about DC's album, about the dissapointment , about the sophomore album and of course, like we did here at Atop, a lot of talking about Adam's sophomore album. I'm almost 100% sure that he followed part of these tweets and saw the angst of his fans.Maybe even went to some forums I dont know. Overthinker like he is, I dont know if he felt this angst himself or he felt the need to comfort his fans but this tweet was definitely not a random one that just happened to post one day. It was BECAUSE of what happened yesterday.This shows to me again that he is in the game 1000%, he knows what's going on, he's feeling the pulse of his fans and he's very serious about it. One of the reasons ILHSFM . JMHO. LOL... gelly, I just came back to say I also believe Adam knows what he's doing... No angst from me!!! I AM TOTALLY ZEN ABOUT IT!!! OK, completely aware Adam in no way used this term as an insult. Haaate the term fish being used for feminine because of the source of its use for women. Calling a woman a name based on the smell of her genitalia (for women that don't wash) is deeply gross and insulting and that is the source. I don't care if it is cool in the gay world. If a similar term, sourced a similar way, were being used for gay men, it would be considered a HUUUUGE insult.
Needs to go the way of "nigger."
It is amazing that whenever people point out that something might not be respectful they are labeled too sensitive, too easily offended. I just want people to look a little further. SEE. really SEE.
