Still catching up with the day's events, and hoping that meanwhile Adam finally found some rest and is right now recovering, and sound asleep. Tough gig for him, he is such a trouper. I have no idea how he does it. Hope he feels better when he wakes up.

So wonderful that hr gave this show a one hour special coverage! What a delight. That is the way to spread Adam's name.

or any other sweet concoction of baked goods with lots of fluffed up cream in it. Usually, if it is called 'Schnittchen', I am thinking of something cut into a rectangular shape rather than a piece of typically round cake (Torte in German), which could have similar tons of cream based filling, but would  be called 'Sahnetorte'.

But besides that original meaning, the figurative translation 'cup cake' is probably a very good one, because it is a bit of a tongue in cheek reference to a very sweet person. While cup cake is in English often used for kids, Sahneschnittchen is probably more used for a girl you'd love to taste, and therefore, when used for a guy, is caressing in tone, but does have a gay undertone. Not in a bad way at all, because anything with bakery involved has of course usually also something quite caring about it, kind of like Adam's friends calling him 'applepie'. Sahneschnittchen is just a tiny bit naughtier than that.

At least that would be my take on that word. Have to admit that I did not hear that used a lot. It is a bit unusual, or maybe it has come more into fashion since I left the country many years back.

I have only listened to a few songs so far, and not seen much yet. But, while I regret the circumstances under which this happened, I do think that reigning it in, when it comes to clowning around and gymnastics on stage, and focusing just on the delivery, has brought Adam tons of positive accolades tonight. The truth is, his audience does not need all the extra. I think, he thinks he needs it, especially knowing that some of us are watching almost every show, but the reality is, he does not. He gets through to people souls, just with his voice and his natural self.

For me personally, I always love it, when it comes totally naturally, like that magical back bend in Hamburg, for example. He just felt it, and it happened, and it was mind-blowing. No way did he think about that, and decide, let me throw that in, they might like that. He just did what came natural to him at that moment.

I feel much less exited about it, when it feels to me, like he is just upping the ante, feel pressure or a need to do more than last time. I could totally do without microphone lics, etc., never perceived them as natural anyways. I will always love Adam, but when it comes to these antics, it's kind of like you love somebody, even though they leave the toothpaste open all the time, but surely do not love him for it. There are tons of other things that make me fond of him and make me listen to every moment I get a chance to.

  But as always, I tell myself, it does not matter what I think, because I am not 'new audience'. But when I see newcomers react with more enthusiasm and more excitement, after less of these antics, it makes me pause. Still want Adam to do anything that he naturally feels like doing, and to be the artist he feels like being, just want him to not think he has to do extra stuff, to make it work, if that makes any sense.
