You know what bites my ass.... & really sucks.... ~ the fact that - in order to spell a word correctly ~ you actually have to spell it correctly to look it up! WTF!!!!! (on line, anyway) JS  :-/ (I have a Dictionary & Thesaurus on my bookshelf, just in case....  thankful for that!  |

Hi, lovelies. Me likey the goatee. A lot. A lot lot. I can't think of any previous facialhair!Adam pictures that I have liked, but this one is growing on me. Especially when his hair is up, it makes him look like an old fashioned movie star. Long day, long week, just now getting to read through the thread. Briefly de-lurking - Mercury Retrogade is a BITCH! >:( js - week from HELL! Seoulmate - Computer memory and computer hard drive space are two entirely different things. Memory (RAM) are chips that are installed and it is what the computer uses to run apps, system etc. This can be put under strain if you have too many things open at once, or are doing really intensive work with heavy duty editing programmes etc. The more things you are doing, the less RAM is available to each of the functions you are trying to perform and the whole performance of the computer slows down. The hard drive is where all your software programmes, Adam porn pics, games, work files etc are stored. It is a physical disc. Think of the 2 things seperately. The memory is the engine that makes the computer run, the hard drive is the boot of the car - it's only function is to store things. Both can be upgraded - but if you have plenty of space left on your hard drive - then look at upgrading your RAM (memory). When the computer has enough - it runs much faster also. Most machines can only be configured to a certain level of RAM tho - check what you have currently installed and see if you can find out how much more it will take. Hope this helps  Oh, and I want to marry your right-click-save post  To add to this sometimes programs do not release memory properly when they close or they stay resident even though you closed them. If you do not shut your system down very often sometimes this build up to having to much crap hogging memory when it should have let it go. First thing to try when you get those messages is to restart your system. If you continue to get them it could also be that your memory chips are failing, it does happen sometimes just like hard drives sometimes die. There are memory diagnostic programs that you can run to test it. If you have a techie friend ask them to help you find one. |

I find if you are not sure of a spelling just google the word instead of going to the online dictionary. Google will ask you if you mean ____ giving you choices of several possibilities. I generally am able to find correct spellings this way. |

(I had about six tabs open, and I jump around between all those sites) Usually I have MSWord open, too, but this evening I didn't. Sigh... I ended up going into my gazillion pics, and deleting a huge number of gifs, but according to your explanation, all I've done is removed a bit of weight from the boot! LOL!  ETA: and mys*&@^#r and rihannsu... thanks for your suggestions, too. I'm tellin' ya, my memory chips better not be failing. I cannot afford to fix my computer right now! >:( :-/ |
