We know the answer to this -- Queen -- specifically Brian and Roger. Brian and Roger never met with Adam during or after the Idol file. All three have said this in interviews. Brian said that they wanted to talk with Adam about doing something together and when the EMA 2011 performance came up they (Queen) contacted Adam. Thanks. Thought there might be more to the story. Apparently not. One nice thing is that Brian May and Adam tend to be very frank and open --- and they both share a lot with fans.

I am going to somewhat disagree. Please note that I am now talking IN GENERAL and not about today's old article. I am also giving my PERSONAL OPINION and not representing any official policy of this board (#legaldisclaimer). And to top it off I'm bored in a waiting room so I'm going to comment on a topic I normally wouldn't (#you'vebeenwarned) There are times when comments to an article show that people are paying attention. That people care about the topic or individual being discussed. And if those comments are reasonable, rational, and factual I see nothing wrong with them. Adam fans have a reputation for being passionate yet nice. I SEE THIS AS A POSITIVE. Loyalty without rudeness signals that Adam is cared about without pissing people off. People who aren't cared about don't get comments. And I'm done fighting my cell phone's stupid autocorrect, so ending here. As a fan group, Glamberts have earned a reputation for being overly defensive when it comes to Adam, that's a fact. How did that reputation get earned? By fans going into every article that contains a comment section and making defensive comments. Look at the recent Billboard article on Trespassing as an example...embarrassing and unnecessary comments were made on an article that was encouraging people to reconsider that album. So again, my opinion is that it does him absolutely no good.
Now perhaps other artists' fans do the same thing and it's no big deal but when I go read an article and its comments and within a few comments someone says something about waiting for the "swarm of angry Glamberts" there is a problem IMO.
The Billboard article is the perfect example of what we are talking about. How can anyone look at that shitfest in the comment section and not come away feeling negative about Adam and especially his fandom. Just mind Boggling. BRB off to develop a keyboard that zaps the fingers when one types stupid stuff. I think it will be a very profitable venture. :D

It almost seems like we're talking about 2 sides of the same coin. Coin <glittery>: Adam fans comment a lot when Adam is discussed online Side #1: This is good. It means that Adam's name garners clicks and passionate opinions. Side #2: This is bad. Adam fans comment on everything and its annoying. I personally think the benefits of Side #1 far greatly outweigh the potential issues of Side #2 AS LONG as the conversation is kept polite, factual, and rational. A nd I think this happens the majority of the time. Are there some overly defensive individuals who even make the core fandom eyeroll? Yep. And there's nothing we can do but ignore them. Such folk will always be there and every fandom has them. Will there always be some snarkfest trolls who will take every available opportunity to make the proverbial "sparkle cow" or equivalent phrase in a comment section? Yep. Can't do anything to them either but ignore 'em too. But if the rest of the Glamberts or Queenberts or any berts want to populate a comments section with polite, factual, and rational commentary I'll cheer them on. I refuse to be embarrassed about my appreciation. And the more polite comments on a board, the less the fanatic or trollish ones stand out. #My$0.02
