I totally do not agree with what Monte has put on Twitter, but I must say I have not been happy with some of the things I have seen said on Atop. There is no excuse for the vulgarity that has been used, but I also don't like when others here assume they know what his motives were in the first place. For example, when he tweeted congrats for the award Queen + Adam won, it was speculated here that he was sucking up so he could get a job with Adam again. Does anyone have any evidence at all that that was what it was about, I don't think so. I don't like this kind of assumption any better than I like his vulgarity. The main reason I have stayed on Atop for so long is that we usually don't have that sort of thing going on here. Totally my own opinion, but I've stayed quiet about too long, and it has been bugging the hell out of me. Your right, we have never had anything like this here before -- and I do not recall anyone lashing out at "Glamberts" like Monte did tonight. I don't think anyone knows why Monte lashed out tonight, and since the cause is unclear, speculation is somewhat natural. And looking for similar things that happened in the past is one way to try and figure out why something happened today. Regarding Monte wanting to get a job with Adam again (which I personally do not believe he wanted), I think that was very unlikely prior to this. I think it is impossible now. He has managed to offend even some Adam fans who remained Monte fans after the split and even a few who gave him a lot of money for his Kickstarter funded project. Finally, my GUESS is that Monte is not sober and that he will delete and regret this Twitter outburst in the morning. I think the whole thing is just sad and I am really sorry that it is mushed up in this concert thread. It is part of tonight's concert, so I will not close the topic but unless someone has something new to say, let's get back to Adam and his great performance tonight -- including 22 Adam sung songs!!

I am beginning to believe that all this training and muscle development is causing some "problems" with the fit of some clothing items. I think those sleeves can't hardly go up over his arms anymore. They have been coming down off the shoulders frequently lately. And those pants! Thinking it is a good thing there are only 2 shows left now. Only a matter of time before something splits. ???? Would that be a bad thing?!  Not at all!! But I am serious, those leather straps are sure getting a workout on this tour! |

Such wonderful concert tonight! Why do people have to engage, where Adam clearly has pulled the plug, and is presently not talking? 'Bridges burnt' - is the last that was said by him. Clear enough, in my mind. If Adam happens to check his feed tonight, mixed in with a steady stream of superlatives, which indeed he deserves to read, every bit of it, he now gets this. If M. wants to run up a twitter storm, then that is his problem, but I wish fans would stay out of it. There are people that are all giddy about the fact that sh*t is flying. Sadz, imo. If Adam has them on his feed, then he gets to see the nasty. Right now, I have to hope that A. does not read his feed, and after such a great concert, he should be free to read, and should read nothing but a stream of accolades, should he care to look. He had a fantastic night. He was the frontman and the star, and it seemed to me that Brian was letting him be exactly that tonight. A generational hand-off. There are a couple of pics in this thread, showing that. Here is one:  Magic. ETA: Saw Q3's green edit only after posting, keeping my post, as I am trying to bring it back to concert. Hope that's ok. Agree with what is said, that M. sounds like maybe drunk or something unhealthy. Just wish fans would not engage. |

There were a lot of celebrities in the audience tonight -- and many people who are known in the UK that I am having to Google -- like "everyone" who has a programme on the BBC it seems.
