I love this photo! Yes that was Chicago. Yes, and I was on the aisle on the bottle side -- I almost fainted. Plus, the bottle was still corked so Adam "played" with that cork in in mouth. I think Mr. Q3 almost fainted when that happened!

I saw a commercial for the iHeart Music Awards coming up March 29. I wonder if Adam will be a presenter? It would make sense since he has an album coming out. Was also surprised that the Glamberts weren't nominated for Best Fan Army! I wonder if he will perform. The timing is perfect.

I'm curious about how the "insiders" listen to the new music, and how they are prevented from recording or sharing what they hear. How is this "security" handled? This early -- the music is usually played for them and they do not have possession of any digital files. About 2 weeks before a single is released for sale, and a few days before an album is released, the digital files with codes hidden in them are distributed. The codes are designed so that they cannot be removed or found, and enable tracking so that if they are leaked that person can be IDed. If you leak it, you are very likely to never have access to music again AND lose you job AND be sued. [They used to use these digital watermarks that were easy to remove. The big studios are much smarter now.] For the past couple years, most of the early leaks have come from the studio end of the business, not the press or radio or online streaming world. Then, of course, there are the Amazon and iTunes samples which are almost always out early. Low quality files and just clips. *** The major labels are pretty good at keeping things locked up until very close to release date. A lot leaks a day or two early. Some whole albums are leaked. ETA: Here is an excellent blog about leaks -- from 2013 so a bit dated but mostly still accurate: petehatesmusic.com/2013/09/10/anatomy-of-an-album-leak-how-they-happen-the-impacts-and-what-should-be-done-about-leaks/
