True, but I can still feel 2nd hand embarrassment. Particularly when real people are directly involved. And for a very gray issue to have people who know the least and guess the most to decide to "righteously" engage the actual people involved makes me queasy. We, quite simply, do not know the fully story of what happened with all the backstory and permutations. Not before the bastard album came out, not after the album came out, or what may have been occurring offline within the past few weeks. But many people feel utterly justified in using their own hypothesized conclusions to definitively form very loud opinions. Again, if peeps want to rant within the fandom, ok. But to engage the people involved? Whether you guessed right or wrong does not, IMO, give anyone leave to insert themselves into that situation. #donenow ETA: <looking up> Nope. I don't look at Twitter that much. But if there was stuff that went on between a nearly 2-year old tweet and now we're not privy to it. Nor should we be whether it occurred or not. I *did* say I didn't approve of the reaction. But I sure don't think the stick poking was appropriate either. Don't know how you can comment on his twitter meltdown if you didn't even read what the circumstances were last night & how disgusting he was! ??? I'm with pattihum on this one. Monte basically called glamberts vile, disgusting names...numerous times. I read his entire feed and the few negative "pokes" were rather benign...(pls read the exchange before you pass judgment) I'm a proud Glambert. I'm offended. I don't take kindly to being called a "snaggle-toothed shorthaired c***" ..and the fact that he copied in Adam to his disgusting rant makes my blood boil. This was a wonderful couple of days for Adam....venting about how obnoxious Mr. MP was on twitter doesn't take away from that at all. |

<grins> But I *did* think that Christmas lights were supposed to come down after Three Kings Day!  Maybe Chapf can make you a flower garland so we can think about Spring arriving when you post while lots of us are having miserably COLD/SNOWY weather!! <snicker> I keep telling myself "I don't live in Boston. I don't live in Boston. I don't live in Boston". That said, we have another snow warning tonight and I bet schools are going to be delayed AGAIN tomorrow. #FML |

Don't know how you can comment on his twitter meltdown if you didn't even read what the circumstances were last night & how disgusting he was! ??? <shrugs> I saw large sections of it that were retweeted and plenty of descriptions. If it really matters to you I'll read the whole thing. But no matter how tremendously ugly he responded it doesn't change the initial issue that I don't think he should have been poked in the first place. Hoppers The problem and the yakty yak is over how he responded to rather mild poking. (never thought there would be a time that sentence made the least amount of sense!) I like the way Dr Bri would have responded and has. "Get a life bye Dr Bri". I also agree he should never have been poked. (again sentence) but he was vulgar and still doing it this morning like it was the manly thing to do. Has anyone ever seen someone with low self esteem, jealousy and guilt respond to statements indicating they were in the wrong about something? Adams career and contacts are riding high now and .... well you finish that sentence. |

I tend to not like any kind of conflict and always try to look at all sides of a situation, but in this case it's hard to defend MP in any way. Unless I missed something, the "poking" he received was a very tiny minority that he could have easily ignored. What he responded with so extremely vulgar, way beyond any excusable behavior.
