brianmay.com/brian/brianssb/brianssbfeb15.html#42Seem Dr Bri wasn't feeling 100% during the concert tonight.. "It wasn’t the easiest night for me … for reasons to do with playing ‘at home’ - which can be stressful. And I felt I was less than 100 per cent focussed, no matter how hard I concentrated."After watching so many Wembley vids, I sure didn't notice that Brian was "off" or having trouble focusing. I think we should discuss why playing at home is difficult. I always got the feeling that Adam is very loose and happy when he's performing in his hometown of LA? Yes? No? Do you lose focus if you know there are friends/acquaintances/fellow musicians in the audience? Are expectations somehow higher and thus more stressful? ETA: I never know if it's okay to bring a quote over from Brian's site. Is it okay as long as we give credit and post the link? If not, then mods can delete!! Brian is so fascinating in his willingness to share the good, the bad and the ugly. He doesn't hold back. What's funny to me is that Brian's less than 100% is somebody else's full effort. He just towers above so many other musicians in quality and musicianship. Same goes for Adam and Roger and the rest of the band. Such a tight unit.

IMO, Monte felt just as betrayed by Adam as Adam felt betrayed by Monte for reasons stemming back to some of their pre-idol agreements. Just because most Glamberts only care about Adam's side of it, doesn't mean that there were not two sides to the story. The recent support Monte has been showing for Adam on twitter, and his tweet above, makes me think that they have talked it through and come to some sort mutual understanding. Sorry, there is, was and never will be (IMO) a side to that story that involves Adam betraying Monte. It wasn't Monte's name/face/reputation being put on the line by the release of a subpar piece of crap album right as Trespassing was being set in motion for release. It wasn't Monte's career being fucked with either.
I am sure they have since worked it out and bravo to Adam for being a big enough person to forgive something so heinous as what Monte did but to say that Monte may have been as hurt as Adam is just unfathomable to me honestly. And I say that as someone who have never been invested or given two shits about what Monte may or may not have done because it's none of my business.
I will keep my eye on the prize Adam.. refuse to read any negativity when there is so much greatness going on in Adam's career..

I wonder if Brian is more nervous or distracted by playing in front of people he knows or knows of. There are musicians (including me) who would rather play for an audience of strangers. If I know certain people are there, I can get distracted about what they might be thinking about the performance. It can be a real mind game to stay focussed.

If Adam is only on the Red Carpet, don't think that's on FUSE. Hoping we can see that YouTube for the Red Carpet.
