Adam may see the crown as just a prop, and approve of Sauli posing in it. But I don't care -- it seems wrong to me, especially when I remember the lump I got in my throat back on the first night of the QAL NA tour in Chicago, when Brian placed the crown on Adam's head. It was like officially anointing him as Freddie's heir.
I like Sauli and think he has been very discreet about his relationship to Adam. And I like that he likes to goof around. But this just doesn't sit well with me.

It is not just the crown, today's picture spam to me appears exploitive of the relationship what that relationship may be. Come on Sauli show some class and discretion. Oh come on! Do you think he is doing this without Adam's knowledge, I don't. I think it's time to lighten up a bit. TOTALLY AGREE. Remember when Adam first wore the crown and Freddie fans were up in arms? I thought that was an overreaction too. Is anyone under the impression that Sauli stole the crown and took a selfie with it? Of course not! Betcha anything Adam said, "Ooh, Sauli, try this on!" because Adam knows it's just a prop and doesn't take it or himself seriously. They were just having fun with it. |

Just me here but I would prefer if fans would not over invest into Adams personal life. But personally it just makes me feel uncomfortable when I see pics of the guy on Adams Career based site. I guess I'm a guy, I am only interested in his voice and career. Edited by Q3I'm pretty much there, though I don't mind too much when it's fairly connected. However, I really don't get the notion of people feeling somehow judgmental of others in his life or what they do. It's really none of our business, nor up for others to do so. Just seems presumptuous and a bit projecting. |

We have infused the crown with all sorts of meaning...but it started life as a winking prop...Adam wore it as planned, for the encore and he removed it in respect to the anthem God save the Queen...that is when Brian stuck it back on his head. It is us that have made it into a moment it was very unlikely meant to be.... ymmv |

Some of you are sounding like those Queen fans that say "HOW DARE THAT LAMBERT WEAR A CROWN AT THE END OF THE SHOW, ONLY FREDDIE WAS ALLOWED TO DO THAT"
Relax. It's for fun. If you're concerned about symbolism, think of how it obviously doesn't fit Sauli - it's Adam's and Adam's alone.
That doesn't mean Adam's ex-bf-most-likely-with-benefits can't try it on backstage.
Don't think of it as the crown passing to another owner, or the crown being stolen by someone else; think of it merely as a fleeting moment between friends captured by a camera.

Put me in the group who is pretty sure Sauli would never post a picture related in any way to Adam without Adam's ok or suggestion. I think it could be a way of passing on a little info to fans without casual fans or the paps jumping on it. Lots/most more casual fans probably don't follow Sauli that closely. Sauli has never betrayed Adam's trust.

Really? I don't see anything offensive or anything needing to be earned.......... I'm sure Adam knows Sauli put on the crown. I also think Adam sees this crown as part of his big box of costumes and that he would share any item from it with any of his friends. He may even be the one taking the pics..... including the one with B&R on the jet. The show is over for now,so the costumes ,including the crown prop will be put away until next time ,September or before.. I'm just happy to see Sauli and Adam together,in whatever capacity.. They are grown men and they are taking cute photos.. I showed the pictures to my DH and he said It's funny and more than OK..LOL |
