I have a few questions for those of you with knowledge of the music industry, speaking of Adam's band for the new album/tour/publicity. As executive producer, how much influence would Max Martin have on the band choice? Would Adam, because of his increasing fame, have more decision making power or more money to attract more accomplished musicians now? Would a different style of music preclude using the same band? Would Max Martin or Warner Brothers even have a say in what band he used?

I have been impressed with the number and enthusiasm from young fans throughout UK and Europe. Much stronger response than from the US or Canada. Would it surprise you if the Warner promotion focuses less on the US and more on the rest of the world? For whatever reason be it Idol, orientation, age or whatever excuse that can be dreamed up, it seems the US awards way less respect and acknowledgement than the rest of the world. ... It would surprise me completely -- so much so that I am certain it is not going to happen. I expect Warners and Adam to be focused squarely on the US market first. Then promote in other markets. Adam will sell 50% in the US, and US licensing is worth the most. There are only a few things that are certain, and one is that they will promote Adam in the US -- a lot. Agree it is too large a market to ignore, I was thinking more along the lines of getting the single and album off the ground elsewhere and then hitting the US, Back dooring it in. It is an interesting dilemma.

I don't know where the misconception started that Adam does better in other countries than he does in the US. It just is not true. Not even close!!

Would Max Martin or Warner Brothers even have a say in what band he used? Good questions. I have no answers, but my thought is Adam CEO of this operation. He would have final say, but it makes sense that his management DMG and Warner would both be in the mix of making those decisions. EP of the album not so much. It seems reasonable to acknowledge that the music might dictate which musicians are selected. Some would be more skilled at one style than another might be. Then add in the musicians personal musical preferences. Thinking of it as going to a job every day that you hate as opposed to one you love. You don't really want that 'I'm only here for the paycheck' guy. Most certainly improved finances could make a difference if you were looking to pull someone from an established gig. But that is not to say the musicians have to be well known in order for the band to successful in their role. Every successful person was a nobody at the beginning of their career.

It just dawned on me (obviously I am slow) that Adam needs to have a band ready for the first single promo period! Which means this is one of the tasks he will be busy with during March IMO. This thought brings all kinds of "worries"...how will he adjust to NOT having Queen level musicians?...will he have a totally new band?... Will Rufus be in it?....Or may be he already has it all figured out.... Single releases in April, he will probably have to have a band in May. But Adam is capable of promoting a single with just an accompanist. I have a vibe that Rufus will NOT be involved. I have a HOPE that it is a new band. Q3 do you think Adam will have a new band? I am hoping he does too. I want to feel like he has a real bad ass band that really adds to Adam's performances and Adam doesn't have to carry the band.

I'm confused - Did the band fly back to London from Sheffield or from Liverpool? Does anyone know how long the flight would have been -- maybe an hour or so, if that? Not much of an after party if it took place on the plane -- j/s I thought people had reported that Adam took a train to Paris from London. Yes? No? Now it sounds like Adam may have landed at LAX???? The BIG end of tour after party was after Wembley, in London. It is not unusual for "tour end" after parties to not be after the last show. For example, the GNT after party was after the Music Box, not after Club Nokia. My guess is the reason is people want to get home after that last show! However, if you read Brian's Soapbox thanking everyone for the tour, he mentions the band and crew had a lovely party on the plane back to London. So, it would seem they flew from Sheffield, back to London, last night after the concert. I assume Adam flew from Heathrow to LAX, this morning. Paris was completely made up by someone!
