www.sugarscape.com/music/reviews/a1076893/adam-lambert-ghost-town/ 13 APRIL, 2015 SINGLE REVIEW: ADAM LAMBERT - 'GHOST TOWN'We got our ears round it a bit early By Carl Smith What's the deal?Since appearing on American Idol back in 2009 Adam Lambert hasn't done too bad for himself. Y'know - a couple of albums, the small matter of touring with Queen; that kinda thing. It's been a while since his last solo record Trespassing back in 2012, though, so we're obviously well excited he's back with his new single Ghost Town. Adam's teamed up with Max Martin and Shellback (y'know, those guys who've produced absolute pop perfection for the likes of Taylor Swift (1989), Britney Spears (the good ones), Cher Lloyd (Want U Back) and a gazillion others?) on his new album The Original High; and we were lucky enough to get our lugholes round Ghost Town last week. So how's it sounding, eh? Wait, this sounds just like...Sort of like loads of stuff out there right now and nothing out there right now at the same time. Basically Ghost Town's massively influenced by proper European pop and the club scene, and while there's a massive house beat running through it it's still packed with personality and that charisma Adam always brings to his stuff. If we had to compare it to anything, we'd say it's like Avicii but even more batsh*t bonkers. A darker David Guetta. Martin Garrix gone MOODY. It's probably worth pointing out that this ain't just a faceless, generic dance track though. The lyrics are actually pretty heartbreaking under that hard house-y thump. Also Hilary Duff's got some competition for 2015's best whistle. That's all we're saying. http://instagr.am/p/1HjRtUONL2 Best line:'Don't give a f**k if I go down...' That massive middle eight though. Worst line:We can't actually remember. That's a good thing though, right? We'd listen to this...Well Ghost Town's got summer smash written all over it, so chances are we'll be playing it in some kind of barbecue and/or beach-based scenario. Or walking home in the rain. It's sort of got that vibe, too. http://instagr.am/p/0ngF_bONNO The song summed up in emojis:Chart prediction:If everyone sees sense this should be number 1 for approximately 9 weeks.

thatgrapejuice.net/2015/04/ghost-town-adam-lambert-to-release-epic-new-single-from-new-album-the-original-high/‘Ghost Town': Adam Lambert To Release Epic New Single From New Album ‘The Original High’By David on Monday 13th Apr 2015 Adam Lambert is no stranger to breaking new ground. Standing proud as the first openly gay artist to top the Billboard 200, the ‘American Idol’ has seen his career do just that since he rose to fame on the wings of the singing competition. This year, after stepping into Freddie Mercury’s shoes to pen the latest chapter in Queen’s story, Lambert continues to do more of the same with his new single ‘Ghost Town’, the bop pulled from his forthcoming album ‘The Original High.’ Two words to describe this Max Martin produced jam? A hit. The number is set to premiere on April 21st and when it does fans will hear the star fuse Folk with EDM to create what we’d say is his strongest single to date, armed with the kind of bells and whistles that’ll see him strike big on the Hot 100. Fortunately, this is no generic jam, seeing the performer deal with the perils of fame with lyrics just as soulful as the voice that carries them.

www.music-news.com/ShowNews.asp?nItemID=88695&utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitterAdam Lambert chats about new album 15 Apr 2015 // by: Music-News.com Newsdesk Adam Lambert covers the new issue of Notion magazine, and opens up about his career as he prepares to premiere his highly-anticipated new single 'Ghost Town'. With less than a week to go until Adam unveils the first taste of his third studio album, The Original High, which has been executive produced by Max Martin and Shellback, Adam shares further insight into what fans can expect in the accompanying interview. Looking back on his experiences: "There were certain ways in which I triumphed and certain ways in which I stumbled a little bit. Unfortunately, people were watching while I was learning." On his new look: "Someone said to me 'oh you're not wearing all that crazy shit, are you trying to tone it down?' and I was like 'no, I just got tired. Fuck! It was a lot of work!' On how he is using his vocals differently on 'The Original High': "I think it's just where I'm at. I think one of the things I've been learning is the 'less is more' approach to a lot of things. Less is a little easier." On approaching his third studio album: 'The music industry is so crazy, competitive and focused, and after the 'Trespassing' album I kind of had to stop and ask myself 'why am I doing this? What do I want? Who am I? What am I about?' and just re-examine at everything. I finally became more grounded about all of the fame stuff; it's not freaking me out anymore.' On 'The Original High': "[The album is] dance-y but bittersweet, and the lyrics are a little darker [than they have been, previously]. I've done the more bubblegum stuff, I've done the camp stuff, and now I want to encourage people to face their shit. I want to show them the part of me that's not all polished or [still part of] the 'pageant on TV' thing ' I want it to be real, you know?'Adam will premiere 'Ghost Town' on April 21, followed by the album 'The Original High' in the spring.
