New Report Looks at U.S. Streaming, Finds Pandora the Clear LeaderBy Glenn Peoples | March 05, 2015 Apple's overhaul of Beats Music, whatever that might entail, will have to pull the on-demand subscription service out of America's music-streaming basement. "The Infinite Dial 2015" report from Edison Research and Triton Digital shows Apple's Beats Music ranks last in reported usage. The U.S. music streaming market can be broken down into three segments: the leader, the followers and the laggards. (Neither Edison Research nor Triton Digital named those segments, by the way.) Pandora is the clear leader. It has the highest brand awareness (75 percent) and the highest monthly usage (45 percent). In this context, usage means a service receives any use in a given period. It does not denote quantity of songs or minutes streamed. Three services qualify as followers: iHeartRadio, iTunes Radio and Spotify. iHeartRadio ranks third in brand awareness (59%) and second in usage (17%). iTunes Radio climbed to second in brand awareness (72%) in fewer than two years and ranks third in brand usage (16%). Spotify brand awareness ranks behind two laggards (41%) -- one an e-commerce giant -- but ranks fourth in brand usage (13%) and has by far the best numbers of an on-demand subscription service. Somebody asked this somewhere else but I'm bringing it over here. Which show was it on the UK/EU tour when before the "new man" speech, Brian told Adam that he needed help? It was hilarious but I don't recall which show it was from. Thanks in advance!

OT but I got an email that Kelly Clarkson is going to play the St. Louis Hollywood Amphitheatre on August 2. Guess she'll be touring this summer. I was surprised she was doing this out door venue but saw it seated 7,000 and with lawn seating of 13,000 it will hold 20,000. I thought she'd be doing inside arenas. She won't be the only act. Pentatonix and Eric Hutchinson will be performing too.
Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre The Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre is a 7,000-seat outdoor concert venue, with lawn seating for another 13,000, making it a 20,000 person capacity venue
I'm anxious to see what kind of venues Adam will be doing when he starts touring his new music. I just can't see him being on the bill with somebody else unless maybe it's someone like Pink.

Hey - since there's not a lot of news today, can anyone recommend any good kid security software for an Android tablet? Kid has outgrown Leapster, but I'm leery about the complete accessiblity of a tablet. What I really want to be able to do is to use the tablet for my own uses (including ATOP :D ), then press a few buttons and hand it over to the kid where she can access her school's educational game site and do a couple pre-approved things without the risk of her wandering into porn or FOX News. It's a new tablet with (I think) KitKat operating system. The kid is early elementary school. Any/all advice welcome. Thread or PM. Thanks!!

Somebody here (I think Cassie...sorry if I'm wrong) earlier was talking about Nile's new music coming out and Adam's Original High music and wondering if they might have collaborated. Here is some info on Nile's new album. It doesn't look like Adam will be on it but who knows he might have ended up doing something for it.
Looks like Nile, also, has been working with GaGa on her next album.

CHIC TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM
CHIC To Release New Album All you disco and funk lovers out there, get ready! Chic is releasing a new album this summer. MORE >> Nile Rodgers isn’t taking any chances with Chic‘s first LP in 23 years. The disco pioneer, who recently hit the studio to work on Lady Gaga‘s ARTPOP follow-up, opened up about his band’s comeback album in a new interview with Digital Spy and revealed some A-List collaborators. It’s About Time (due June) could feature the vocals of Miley Cyrus, Diana Ross, Janelle Monae and Elton John.
The 62-year-old guitarist/producer confirmed that the LP will contain a track called “Queen,” which he wrote for Diana Ross several decades ago. Nile hinted that she might perform it after receiving a little prod from son Evan Ross. Elton John has also written a song to to the project, while Janelle Monae recently laid down her vocal for another contribution. And then there’s Miley. “I’ve also become really good friends with Miley Cyrus, who sings her ass off!” the funk legend said. “So I just called up Miley and was like, ‘Yo Miley do you want to do this?’ [And she's like] ‘Yeah!'”
Is this shaping up to be one of the most exciting albums of the year? Have your say in the comments below.

Warner Music Group Promotes Stu Bergen, Mike Jbara News By Ed Christman | March 03, 2015 11:11 PM EST The Warner Music Group is making a change in the reporting structure for one part of the company, while moving another veteran executive into a new top infrastructure position. Stu Bergen, WMG's International Recorded Music president, who also oversees global marketing, the Alternative Distribution Alliance, and Classics, will now also oversee WEA Corp. In another move, Mike Jbara, who had been president of ADA, is assuming the newly-created position of executive vp of WMG technology & business processes.
