House? Deep house? Out house? I don't know what all this means. I did love his "Red House"!
......
I want him to give us what moves HIM. That is "The Original High" to me.
Pretty much how I feel too. Before TSP, when I heard disco and electronic, I could have been concerned, given that this is not normally my kind of music, but given FYE, I was not. Even then, I knew that any Adam album was always an interesting and eclectic mix, and most certainly an intense experience. And I sure was not disappointed. Not millions of hours of pondering on my part, would have made me think of anything remotely close to the sounds of TSP or Cuckoo or Runnin or any of the others, and worrying certainly would not have helped either.
So, I am petty calm about all that, actually. Adam Lambert is a
quality seal, that automatically eliminates all these concerns about boring or emotionally distant drivel, that some of these 30 house tracks indeed represented to me.
Why is Adam even talking about genres, when he normally wants to distance himself from such characterization?
I think that Shosh and Adam had agreed that they would use the Brit Awards Red Carpet to achieve two goals
a) use the occasion to promote the TOH era,
b) put those, that were talking up a Queen influenced, more rock leaning album, on notice, that this is not what TOH would be.
But, while genre is not much on my mind, the question what TOH, or even more immediate, what the single is like, certainly is.
And I need to ask a question, that so far nobody seems to have brought up, and I am kind of surprised about that:
We have two very secretive guys Adam and Nile, both talking about their respective singles, but not giving much away.
Adam says, his single is beginning of April-ish.......Nile says, his Chic single is three weeks from now, or better 3/20/15 (day of the equinox and solar eclipse over EU). So, they are pretty close together. Well so far I did not think much of this coincidence. Just two people both talking about their music.
But now, today, they both started sending messages about 'time'. Well, actually, Nile was already doing for a while, and just reinforced it again today with a new video about the concept of time:
Here is his tweet:

Then, comes along Adam, with this:

Time was Thrown at the Wind
instagram.com/p/z1iwrVuNKN/And now, I am wondering, whether there is a bit more to all this than just coincidence.
Both, took very long and made a secret out of their new labels, both are with WB now, both are working a similar timeline. I am just beginning to think, there may be purpose behind this, rather than just coincidence.
I don't imagine, they are so much musically tied, but rather conceptually, btw. But of course, there could be musical overlap too, down the road.
Need to keep watching this development, and see how or whether it unfolds further.
