Forgot to add my thoughts on 'what does he have in his hands' in today's photo. I can't see clearly so I'm only guessing. I think he holds palm protectors that weight-lifters use as the metal stick could cause bruising and the stick could slip with sweat. It's heavy with weights and it takes time to do a series of lifts. The thing has a curved plate on the palm which is fastened in place with ribbons and I believe it has a ring for thumb where the ribbon from the other side is attached. Similar gear is used in gymnastics too.  Well that makes more sense to me than glasses and could go along with what's on his fingers that looks like a ring but it goes over more than one finger. Easiest to see on the images that are lightened like this one. But I'm not finding anything on line that would match up.  |
