I feel like such a neophyte at all this stuff, and really appreciate all the things I learn here!! ( All you clever people even help me impress my kids with my "knowledge" sometimes! :D ) Marysue: That comment reminded me of another post by Spring2009: Apr 21, 2011, 9:43pm, spring2009 wrote: Ok, so my kids have returned home for the summer, we have just returned home from a lovely dinner together. While we were out my son said he could smell weed, and I mentioned 420. They turned to gawk at each other and then just about fell off of their chairs. Then my daughter looked at me and said " OMG it was Adam wasn't it??". I said "Either Adam or Urban Dictionary" The laughter that ensued was all kinds of awesome. And like many others here I am surprised I would be looking forward to the Drag Race finale! Today I've chuckled, giggled and laughed out loud - also swooned over some wonderful pics... Love this place and all who are here.

Another great performer - like Adam - Melissa Etheridge - "Like The Way I Do" from 1988 ~ I have seen her many, many times! At Shoreline Amphitheatre - she sang AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long" Was GREAT!! And appropriate to her TOO! No vids cuz no "recording devices" back then! :-/

Last year, in London, Adam said - to a very pretty young woman - "unless you're hiding something under that skirt it isn't going to happen" - He's playing with us! I bet he is a Kinsey 6. He's curious, but not that curious. Hell, what do I know!! But I bet he fell asleep on the GNT bus, more than once, surrounded by Sasha, or Brooke, or Cam . . . Maybe 5.95 (thinking about it)! :

Today I've chuckled, giggled and laughed out loud - also swooned over some wonderful pics... Love this place and all who are here. Your words are so true!! I was shaking my head today that I was actually going to watch (in anxious anticipation) the Drag Race finale! That was so not like me about 2 years ago! ;D My oldest son told his younger brother at my Easter dinner that "Mom has been playing Adam Lambert music over and over again!" I told him I 'burned' (learned to do this because of AFL) a CD of Pre-Idol, Idol, and GNT songs and that I listen to it and other Adam CD's all the time. 8-) He looked at me with a quizzical WTF look on his face..how did she learned to do this?! It made my day! Thanks fellow Atop's for all the knowledge and help you share here.

To the person asking if septoplasty could change the sound of a voice, I imagine it could, but not significantly. If someone's septum is significantly deviated, it could partially block or significantly block one nostril, which would change facial resonance. But, as the surgery is only to correct a deviation, not reshape or resculpt the nose or face, the resonance in the sinuses and in the bones of the skull would not be impacted. Don't know when the work was done on Adam, but, his voice sounds to have the same basic resonance since high school graduation. The changes over time I think have much more to do with him mastering and maximizing how to place his tone for the best sound. Thanks for answering regarding the septoplasty thing. It's good to know that the surgery hasn't changed his natural born voice. It's scary isn't it, when your voice puts your health in jeopardy - not doing certain surgeries because you are afraid you would lose your voice. I have the utmost admiration for people involved in the arts.
