I am wondering, whether it is possible, that Adam's management had originally wanted to go for release with Ghost Town in March, but when they found out that Madonna had a single with that title (sans space), that they decided to separate them out by a month, and given that her stuff had already leaked, and given that she is the Queen of Pop, she got to go first. Have no idea, whether that is true, but I do think, it could be possible. And Adam tweeting his probable lyrics: 'Time was Thrown at the Wind', would make sense, in a way that was cryptic at the time when her single was released, but would be understood later. It does seem, as if the whole WB/Publ.Edge roll-out plan was ready since a while. Much sooner than the now revealed 4/21 date would indicate, imo, so that is why I think, it could be true. Just speculating. Adam announced the April single in January, so I doubt it. Being that he was in the UK on Feb 28th, I don't think so. As a matter of fact, betting that Madonna's 2nd single wasn't even planned for March. But due to the first one bombing, they had to do something fast!

Nice from FUSE www.fuse.tv/2015/03/adam-lambert-ghost-town"From American Idol to house icon? Adam Lambert announced his new single "Ghost Town" with a small video clip on Instagram that not only showed some sexy shots of the singer, but also previewed the upcoming track. (Scope it out below.) It's only 15 seconds, but "Ghost Town" appears to tout a throbbing house beat accompanied by an ominous whistle hook. We don't get to hear any vocals from Adam, but we're already getting goosebumps imagining him belting over that beat. If anyone thought whistles were getting stale in pop music (from Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" to OneRepublic's "Good Life" to Flo Rida's terrible innuendo-driven "Whistle" to the brand new "All Day," Kanye West's monster track built around a Paul McCartney whistling bit), Lambert just totally refreshed the trend. - See more at: www.fuse.tv/2015/03/adam-lambert-ghost-town#sthash.aiWjxWEY.dpuf

The term "comeback single" is being used for the single with a lot of media. I wonder why they are saying it's a comeback? I know Adam hasn't had music out since Trespassing but it's not like he's not be doing anything...#QueenAL, Glee, Idol judge.
Do you think this is part of WarnerBrosRecords and his PR team strategy? I'm just curious. However they want to promote Adam is fine with me.

Just speculating. I doubt it. Seems like this schedule has been locked for a long time. The album has been slated for Summer 2015 for a long time -- printed in the Q+AL UK programs. Adam said the single would be released in April on his birthday in January. He played it for UK media and radio execs at the end of February. Madonna confirmed that "Ghosttown" would be her second single on March 12, 2015. Although it was released in December 2014 and pretty well known it was the likely 2nd single. I don't think Madonna's track was a real consideration. And based on the snippet of Adam's song, there will be no confusion between the two tracks. **** What is most interesting to me is that based on Shoshonna's tweets today about the UK, looks like they are going to make a real effort to make "Ghost Town" have an impact on the UK.

I don't have any opinion yet until I hear the whole song. But I think the title Ghost Town and the snippet's kind of appropriate. The sounds reminds me of Ghost Town in Wild West movies.

This is cute and don't know if already posted this morning. Watch Adam's exposed ankle/foot moving to the beat (far lower right just past and under J. Sky's foot) ....Too cute. Also, all the red and black flashing by on that runway.

ITA -- Madonna is the one who pushed out her singles much earlier than planned. I wonder what she thinks about Adam just starting big promotion for a song called "Ghost Town" now. Adam's team knew about Madonna's "Ghosttown" in December 2014 (we all did when it leaked). But there is nothing to indicate that Madonna/Interscope knew about Adam's "Ghost Town" In any case, Madonna's track is 5 weeks ahead of Adam's and being promoted to HAC/AC, not pop. It is getting most of its airplay on AC and seems to fit AC really well -- plus Madonna's fans tend to be women who are over 40 years old so aligned to AC. I think both songs can easily co-exist. They are apparently very different. They have very different target markets.
