Sue Cox @buddyanzac @shoshannastone will Ghost Town be available in UK on the 21st? × shoshanna stone@shoshannastone @buddyanzac no Everybody remember that the UK does radio first and then releases for purchase 5 or 6 weeks later. That is why the Madonna song is already playing but has a realease date of 4/20.

Adam Lambert Previews House Sound on Upcoming Single "Ghost Town""I think people are going to be really surprised," the 'American Idol' star said of his about-to-be-released dance single - See more at: www.fuse.tv/2015/03/adam-lambert-ghost-town#sthash.FnhwNSu2.dpufFrom American Idol to house icon? Adam Lambert announced his new single "Ghost Town" with a small video clip on Instagram that not only showed some sexy shots of the singer, but also previewed the upcoming track. (Scope it out below.) It's only 15 seconds, but "Ghost Town" appears to tout a throbbing house beat accompanied by an ominous whistle hook. We don't get to hear any vocals from Adam, but we're already getting goosebumps imagining him belting over that beat. If anyone thought whistles were getting stale in pop music (from Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" to OneRepublic's "Good Life" to Flo Rida's terrible innuendo-driven "Whistle" to the brand new "All Day," Kanye West's monster track built around a Paul McCartney whistling bit), Lambert just totally refreshed the trend. "I think people are going to be really surprised," Adam told Billboard of his upcoming single. He further explained his new sound, adding: "I wanted something more internal and more grounded. A little less with the theatrical and the camp and the presentation. I wanted to bring it in a bit more. Being on the road with a British rock band, and being in London a lot this year, rehearsing with them and doing TV gigs, I think that has affected my sound and where we are headed with it. [Europe] is very ahead of the curve, or right on, and I was definitely influenced by that. Vocally, it's very intimate compared to what I've done in the past. There is a little bit of a daring, deeper internal conflict and poetry about it...the album feels like a new era for me—emotionally, lyrically, sonically. It feels fresh, it feels new. It's still me. It's still stuff that fans know and love but it's a new chapter 100 percent." "Ghost Town" is the first taste of Lambert's forthcoming album, The Original High. As previously reported, his third full-length will be executive produced by "Whataya Want From Me" boardsmiths Max Martin and Shellback and released on Warner Bros. Records following creative differences with former label RCA. The Original High is due out this summer, while "Ghost Town" drops April 21. Glamberts, are you ready to dance?

When I was looking up info on Madonna's "Ghosttown," I saw that this weekend she just wrapped a music video for the song featuring Terrence Howard. That seemed like a left-field choice. I wonder if the song will have any kind of tie-in to his upcoming Fox show, Wayward Pines? If they use it for the show somehow, that might give the song legs. Or maybe she just asked him to be in the video because of his popularity right now. Madonna's performing at iHeartRadio Music Awards, so I guess she'll probably be singing that song. I don't know how true it is, but I was reading that Madonna believed the market wanted dance tracks as singles and she had to be talked into releasing "Ghosttown." But "Ghosttown" was getting good reaction/charting and positive independent feedback (relatively speaking) so they convinced her to release it as the second single. So maybe even though Adam's team knew that title was on her album, maybe they didn't initially expect it to be released, or at least not so soon, since it doesn't sound like it was in her plans either. But definitely no need for Adam to change his own plans that have been a long time in the making. Because both songs are so different, I think the titles could be positioned as a really cool coincidence between Adam and someone he's long admired. They could lift each other up, in a way, since it seems like his song is more targeted to the pop charts, while hers is not. It's hard for me to foresee her song really taking off, but either way a gracious approach seems like a good way to go. When Adam's song is available, if Madonna's song is still getting airplay, maybe there could be some kind of fan video with clips of all the comments or great things he's said about Madonna with a mash-up of both songs? Was chatting on twitter and described it as the soundtrack to a Quentin Tarantino western set in a post apocalyptic subway. Adam prowling through whistling while a deep beat throbs in the distance... cue vampires. The same composer famous for doing the soundtracks for a lot of the well-known spaghetti Westerns also composed music for a lot of Tarantino films. I hope some music from The Original High ends up on a soundtrack or in a TV show someday!

I don't have any opinion yet until I hear the whole song. But I think the title Ghost Town and the snippet's kind of appropriate. The sounds reminds me of Ghost Town in Wild West movies.
LOL..I was sitting in the doctor's office waiting and all I could see was Adam driving his convertible through a 'Ghost Town' wearing the black fringe jacket and a baseball cap. A freak wind gust streaks through the area he's driving and a tumbleweed skirts the top of the convertible. Adam pulls over to see if there is any damage wearing cowboy boots with...matching fringe! Yes! He mumbles..'that muthaf**ker better not have ruined my paint job.' Satisfied all is well, we hear an 'Oh Yeah' leading into..The Whistle!! Commence instagram. And the ghost town comes ALIVE...dum dum dum.. Oh boy, short instagrams have so much ~potential!! I think it's really nice of Adam to give us a new toy to play with for awhile.. Saying nada about the song. 15 second clip? I'll wait on that one. But this is so out of the park from any sound I had in my little noggin, I'm totally delighted. #shallowend #takeslittletokeepVivhappy
