ITA^^^
there are many current "stars" that would need Idol if they were trying to break into the industry today..
They are the ones protesting the show the loudest.. I have also heard some stars say that they would never last on the show.. I like them much better when they acknowledge how hard being on the show actually is..

Just checking - the Sauli pics not yet here from last evening...? EDIT: Ha ha, lindy posted them at the same time as I sent this message, LOL. Sauli seems to have some eye makeup on or does he...IDK? (And in the other picture, the younger womans eyes would scare the hell out of me if I met her . ) I think these are the peeps who made the earlier video...?

I was on my ipad and couldn't embed. But this is too good... *snerk* This calls for making a new banner! mid-day!! (Changing now!) Regarding the video -- which I posted with a warning on page 1 -- I think it only reflects badly on one fan -- the won who thinks that imitating the behavior of paparazzi is the way to live life. Seriously, something off there. But I think it is better posted with a prominent caution. On more important matters -- facial hair -- I just hope he having fun with it before he saves --- and doesn't go to a mustache only or one of the chin-only things. He can certain do what he want but I hope he goes back to skin soon. I wish she hadn't given Adam such a bright yellow face. wonderstruck wrote: Her mindset is back in the day old-school and doesn't pertain to current times. No way she would break big in today's time without a vehicle such as Idol. Oh well. :

I love KD Lang. I think she was reacting more to Simon Cowell and the idea of the manufactured artists people say are being created now. I hope I didn't offend you and KD Lang. I'm not a big fan of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, but I've heard of them and have been able to find out if they make the kind of music I like to listen to. I don't know if I'd like KD Lang or not, but now I can check out and see and that is by implication due to Idol. So I think it's a good thing there are these things that get artist noticed, even if it's from an interview where Idol is mentioned. Because if there hadn't been that interview there is a huge probability that the situation would have stayed the same and I would not have ever heard of KD Lang. Not a bit offended! Usually not a big fan of country either...I am never offended when someone doesn't like an artist I like, even Adam, unless they are disrespectful to him in the process. (of course, I am always a bit amazed that they don't hear his voice the same way I must! ) Last night my husband and kids were watching the end of RPDR with me. We started talking about the gay community in LA. I asked my son if he had heard of Mr. Blacks. He said yes, and that it was a pretty good party, but that he really liked "A Club Called Rhonda" or something like that. He said if Adam doesn't already go to that party, he should because it would blow his mind, LOL. My son's LA gay friends, he says, are more "east gay community/downtown" than "weho" he added, with weho being more Perez Hilton-like. (his words) LOL Who knew? And who knew we would be having this family discussion five years ago after watching RPDR???!!!!!

See but does Adam have a choice to eliminate the Idol mentions when he does promo in the UK? I can see how he himself may not bring it up, but it still wouldn;t stop the tv hosts/interviewers and whatnot from intorducing him as "Idol runner up..." or asking him about the show. Unless of course his management tells them not to mention it but then it would make him look like an ungrateful ass and yeah. It's a tightrope walk for sure--to move away from the show and yet still remain humble and thankful for what the show gave you. If he can break out with one amazing song, just oooone that catches on in the UK he will have a much easier time. Oh and am I the only one who thinks Bob Dylan is overrated? LOL. I guess not my kinda music...different generations...whatever. No we will never find another one of those bc music has changed in so many ways, some good some bad. I think it's time the musicians who came to fame the old way start to realize that times change and that truly talented ppl coming to fame on these shows isn't good or bad, it's just different. Face it, JHUd prolly never woulda been given a music contract no matter what KD Lang says. Adam either(dunno bout JHud but Adam tried for yrs to make it and got nowehere). They weren't the beautiful pre manufactured pop stars that are all over the airwaves. They were different. Jhud was chubby, Adam gay, heck even Kelly Clarkson tried and sent demos and got nowehere. She woulda prolly been called too chubby/not cute enough and that's that. They may have gotten signed, who knows, but they would have probably achieved minimal success probably in smaller niche markets. These celebs can knock Idol all they want, and yes there is alot to mock, but it has churned out some truly amazing talents and let's face it, I'm pretty sure these stars turning their noses up at it now that they are famous and rich would have had a different attitude about going on the show back when they were struggling and hungry to make it. *rant over* I totally agree with this even the Bob Dylan part and he is my generation
