You guys are making me a little nervous about this Russian concert. Doesn't sound like the place for a "POP" star. Adam can rock it out with the best of them - but what will he sing? Covers? Old The Citizen Vein material? New stuff? What? Wonder if Adam is aware of the climate there, whatever it may be? Sometimes people doing the booking at these festival shows dont seem to guage the audiences all that well in their booking. My son has had that experience, but he is small fry. Adam's people probably know what they are doing.

I am a little apprehensive for Adam in Russia. Lots of Russian men are quite mean and love to drink and smoke and are not respectful. Major homophobes. Not all mind you. Russian mafia anyone. Most of my family are from Russia.. If the men are so homophobic they sure don't worry about perceptions, like kissing or hugging other men in public or even dancing with men . If Adam can do Texas ,I wouldn't worry about Moscow. He's very popular in Russia. IMHO Russian men show their feelings and emotions much more than American men.I was in St. Petersburg a couple of years ago..people were lovely, even the men, even those who love vodka. Adam will know what to do,it's not the first time he's had to deal with homophobia...Malaysia??

One of my friends lived in Russia for a while. Now when there is someone performing there she's interested in and who wont come to Finland she'll go there to the concert. She listens mostly rock so I'll have to try to get a hold of her soon and ask what's it like there. Unfortunately it's night time now.

That seems true, but appearances of being gay seem to be a big no-no. A couple of years ago we were at our summer resort, and my son met a young man from Russia, and he commented that men there were not able to wear tight fitting clothes or otherwise "gay" styles because of the homophobia there.
