Oh, yeah? Well, I speak English and I can say "Throw your gum in the wastebasket, please" in Spanish and--uh, that's all. Slinks away quietly and hopes no one noticed.No slinking away allowed nor necessary ggg. You live in a different world to us and you don't need more languages  . English is so universal - you lucky ones are born with it and we just have to learn it word by word. Well, it does make me (maybe even some of us) feel a little lacking... my youngest daughter wonders why our schools don't have them start learning a language in the 1st or 2nd grades when learning is easier. She is trying to learn Japanese( shes in the 10th) . I still rememeber a bit of German.. but not enough to help in any translations should it come up again. My step daughter is fluent in French and her husband is Macedonian and so she has learned to read it. He can't read it but can speak. Learning young is key. |

Haven't caught up yet, with the thread, but first have to say THANK YOU for all the sweet BD wishes! Then, Have to toally agree with this! Sauli is hot, masculine, and sexy! Nothing androgynous elf about him at all! Adam is as lucky as Sauli is! What a couple!  I know that Adam doesn't care one iota about my opinion- but Sauli does seem to be a fabulous departure from his usual type. He said in an interview somewhere or another that he thought he might need to find a new type, and I really like this one. Now just tack on the blah blah disclaimer disclaimer bit (because I may need cover in the future), but these two seem to have a whole bunch of potential that doesn't usually happen when you meet someone in a bar on the other side of the world when you are only in town for a couple of days.I think so, too. They just seem so at ease with each other. Maybe "if I had you, the money, fame and fortune never could compete" will come true for Adam this time. Doesn't mean he will forego the former, to me, if would just mean he would have a nicer balance to his life. Hope it works for them if they both want it to. |

HAHA, that's me. After taking Spanish (because itt was the easiest) in both high school and college (many, many years ago) all I can do now is count, say how are you and my name is. lol Yes, it's regrettable and embarrassing. I can top you on that, I was a translator for the OAS while I was in college in DC, taught high school Spanish, and now can pretty much just ask what time is it and where is your house, oh, and tell you you have an ugly cat. I almost took a refresher course when I lived in Key West, but Keys Disease had me bad and I didn't do anything but work, lie in the sun, and listen to music. I'm such a slug. KEYS DISEASE? You mean rum runner poisoning, right? ;D Ahh, the good old days in the Florida Keys. Good times at the Tiki Bar. Wish I was there now. I was told I had to take German in high school because Spanish wasn't challenging enough. WTF? I wasn't that smart. I cheated my way through 2 years and all I can do is recite a few dialogues. I have no idea what I'm saying, but I remember them phonetically. |

Sauli is 5 years younger than Adam. Don't know how much, he'll be able to keep it together for Adam. I have found that most young adults don't really mature and have full final reasoning capabilities until their late twenties and early 30's, when the frontal cortex in your brain finally has developed. But this is going to fun watching this relationship either blossom or bomb. But Adam is ready!!!! Also I think he has been in the gay community for so long, that much or some of the BS that occurs has become quite jaded for him. Someone other than a young man born and raised in the US provides a fresh perspective for him, just like it did when he first delved into his sexuality in Germany. Sauli was 22 in 2007, when he did Big Brotther in Finland. His BD is next month so that means he is turning 26. So, only a 3 year difference in their ages. |

OMG, you should read the comments. It's popcorn time. I was reading part of the article there and apparentlly JB has been working with a vocal coach for a while.. has developed a beautiful tone and will one day reach a 4 octave range... wow how can they tell that already.. ??? ETA .. his voice started changing during his last tour.. I guess that wasn't a problem.. because.. what .. he wasn't singing live ..what..seems to me it would have been a problem .. confused popcorn is right.. |
