Did anyone besides me notice and marvel in a positive way that one of Ashton Michael's models had a prosthetic leg? Talk about inclusion! Adam has "introduced" us to so many friends who share his inclusive sensibility. I'm grateful.
There was a high functioning young woman with Downs's syndrome on the runway in NY, too.
But, don't get me started on the supposedly plus size model in the SI Swimsuit issue.

Original: bit.ly/1G2wMpF I wish he would stop mucking around with his eyebrow / forehead though. His eyebrows and all the rest of him is gorgeous, just the way it is.
2004-09-27 Opening night of The Ten Commandments. Adam's presentation for the show's very conservative producers. Bronson, Fred. "Adam Lambert: The ultimate interview, Part Two." Los Angeles Times 5 August 2009
Who did you play in “The Ten Commandments”?
Joshua. Everything was copacetic by the end, but in the beginning, I was doing all this promotion for them to get interest built for the show and singing the song everywhere. I was on the Chabad Telethon and I was in love with being a rock star and I was going to rehearsal with nail polish on and eyeliner from the night before, and the director came up to me and said, “Could you take all that off?” and I asked, “Why?” He told me, “The producers are a little uncomfortable with it. They don’t really get it,” and I said, “But we’re not in costume yet. Why does it matter?” He said, “They feel like you’re supposed to be the leader of the Hebrew army by the end of this and they’re really uncomfortable with the way it looks.” And I told him, “This is theater. This is a pop musical. What ... is your problem?”
The same Sam Cooke song that Simon Fuller chose for you to sing on “American Idol.” Did Simon know that you had performed the song earlier in your career?
I don’t know. We never talked about that, but what was interesting about that was I changed a lyric in it. Instead of “I’m afraid to die,” I sang, “I don’t see what’s wrong with a little glitter around my eyes,” because I wanted the song to be about what I was dealing with on “The Ten Commandments,” this weird, ignorant, “Why are you wearing nail polish?” Like this weird discrimination because I was expressing myself and having people feel uncomfortable with that and then everything tying into my sexuality and just being alternative in any way and wanting the song to be about that. It’s interesting that that came full circle with “Idol.” Really weird and the same issues. Maybe more far-reaching this time and less personal.
The play ended 2004-12-05. Adam 2004-12-15. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrcAWtVhb0c

You got me to actually fetch the Swimsuit Issue and look....I did find one plus size person in one picture (and she looked the sexiest to me)..IMO the fashion industry is responsible for the majority of eating disorders in women, and for all kinds of other psychological problems, I can go on and on... and all because they hate female shapes and bodies, the typical run way model looks like an emanciated male teen ager...... don't get me started on this one...
at least the SI is geared towards men, so they go for sizable boobs...
I know it's all OT...

Just catching up and, ugh, hate to agree with anything that Toby guy says, but I played the snippet for my music-loving husband a few days ago and he said the house beat reminded him of Disclosure. I think that the part that Toby is referring to is a part that comes later in the song. But the underlying house beat in the clip we have is old - - from Chicago and the origins of house. I am most interested in the use of acoustic guitar and the deep house part of this song. Is it April 21st yet? I've always thought of Chicago house as being quite disco-y. Frankie Knuckles, etc. Check out this mix Disclosure did for Radio 1 - www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddeu_vF9p1s - you could drop what we have of Ghost Town anywhere in there.

That's an ingenious way to have a contrary opinion, hide it behind a sofa. I added Adam's comments (above) that say his Zodiac performance related to his feelings about The 10 Commandments.

Sorry 4Ms, that comment of mine was very badly edited and was directed to craazyforadam. I will go back and fix it. My first attempt at spoiler alert was unsuccessful. ETA: Jeez, I just deleted the whole thing. I was trying to use the spoiler function and put my comment behind the LOL which was an acknowlegement of craazy's hiding her comment behind a sofa which I did but every time I tried to leave craazy's spoiler in, I could not take your quote out. I know there is a way to do it and I will figure it out eventually, but again sorry. :-[

{LOL.}That's an ingenious way to have a contrary opinion, hide it behind a couch.
Another try because I just cannot let something go until I get it right, even if it is a bad idea. This is a tendency I need to curb for my own self-preservation.
