Like I said, I don't usually read into things but there is a tone about this tweet that irks me. Perhaps it is the inclusion of Gokey who everyone knows has said some controversial things about various topics that closely relate to Adam. Maybe it's the fact that they name checked him in the video yesterday for attention, I don't know. But whatever it is, it really raised the hairs on my arms and almost made me go all embarrassing Glambert and tweet him something nasty LOL.
As for saying nice things about Adam, I think there are plenty of people from Season 8 who have some bitterness towards Adam but are still smart enough to know attaching his name to anything gets them attention and saying nice things about him gets them attention from Adam's fans which in turn can translate into good will for their future projects.
Seriously, we know nothing about these people, about who they like and who they not, and what they think about Season 8 and fellow contestant so saying things like that is IMO exactly reading into things. of course you're right, we know nothing about them, just as we know nothing about Adam and yet we speculate and fret over the smallest things when he does something or says something that people don't fully understand. I was just offering my take on the tweet/video. I have always found the season 8 boys more than a tad disingenuous with their "friendships" towards Adam. My opinion and obviously no one is required to agree. |

I hope we can let Season 8 rest. That was IMO the most talented group of contestants Idol has had..no group has come close since then. I didn't watch Idol before so can't comment on that. A deep pool, that year. I loved seeing what each contestant would do every week and I haven't been able to say that since.  ETA: Sorry, Glitter, but we don't know how Adam was treated by the Season 8 contestants. Other than the one fiasco I prefer not to go into, I don't remember anyone speaking ill of Adam. But he got a ton of kudos from his fellow competitors. APRIL 21st!!!!! Come on down.  |

I think you are reading something into this that is not intended. Matt has tweeted and said very nice things about Adam and Adam's music. He also attended at least one Adam solo concert. It was an April Fool's Joke.

IMHO..Matt was complimenting Adam by even referring to a tour. Adam's new music is coming out..Matt doesn't live under a rock. Matt was always the guy with the smile and compliments. Funny too. Sometimes a tweet is just a tweet. It's April Fools. Lighten up, everybody. Only 3 weeks until Ghost Town!!  |

I guess I'll be doing a lot of scrolling today so I'll just say my piece for anyone who is reading.
I LOVE ALL of the season 8 guys and gals. LOVE that the guys who live in and around Nashville were able to come together in a place they could all meet up at. I do not feel that Adam was left out of anything, I'm sure that if he had been doing road shows together with them as they have been doing with each other and was in the area he'd be there just like the four of them. They mentioned Adam because if they hadn't they would have gotten flak for leaving him out. Matt mentions him and gets chewed out for an April Fools joke. If I were them I would plant my feet as far from Adam and his fans as was humanly possible because it seems that for some Adam fans there is no way for them to be friendly without being a suckup.
I love Matt's voice and he's fun to watch on the piano
Gokey sound's pretty decent if he's not trying to hard and he does good things with his foundation
Sarver is a teddy bear and has tried very hard to be in a good place with the Glamberts
Kris wore nail polish on his home town visit and in my book can do no wrong and I buy most of his music (he was my DS favorite)
So I guess I should get off my soapbox here and move over to my twitter account and send them positive Glambert vibes to even out my Libra scales of justice because antipathy towards them makes me bleed just like antipathy toward Adam. As a Mama glambear I consider them my cubs too.

It was an April Fool's Joke. Matt has always been a goofball. In a kind way. I don't get snark from this. Of course, they'd be calling for Adam in their vid. They know he's got a new single dropping and is super busy. It's a joke..why wouldn't Gokey retweet it? It's more about Matt than Adam anyway. Matt's a good guy. I don't see anythng snarky or mean in his tweet. Matt is a kidder and joker, he was during idol, during the tour and is still now. Nothing about his take on life appears to have changed. He pokes fun at himself as well. They are just guys being silly. |

I think only one Season 8 contestant ever said that they did not get along with another contestant -- and the person who said that was Adam. As far as I know, Adam never clarified who he did not get along with except to say it was not Danny Gokey. The speculation at the time was that it was Scott and Adam who did not get along. It was not any of the women or Matt, Kris, Danny or Michael Sarver. So that leaves Anoop (who hung out with Adam so I do not think so) and Scott (who did not seem to be friends with any of the Season 8 finalists. |
