Q3 - it's interesting that you mentioned a Helen Keller joke as I recently watched the Joan Rivers documentary "A Piece of Work" where she does get heckled for telling such a joke and she has a little rant about what comedy is all about. What I found interesting about the show and how it relates to Adam is the insight to a long career in show business -- how you're hot and then you're not; how many people depend on her finacially; how she is driven every day to work; how much hurt and influence the critics can inflict; the constant travel; and how the career can be more important than family.

Oh and to add to that post -- how mean people can be in the business. Her story about Johnny Carson was very interesting. I am so glad that Adam says his heart is full and I hope it stays that way.

That reminds me of how shocked I was hearing a joke about the Challenger astronauts. I didn't know people could so cruel as to make fun of such a tragedy! I haven't heard anything that has shocked me as much since then.

Okay, should I remove the offending photoshop mash-up??? Q3 -- I have deleted photo but left link. Seems like a good compromise. Now I know that Adam didn't know about the picture, it is funny. Just a little cruel. My first reaction was that someone was making fun of a boy who has problems. However, I believe there should be humor about all the negatives we encounter in our lives. That is the only way to make it through this life.

I think about every funeral I have attended. The best ones end up with everyone laughing and remembering the deceased's good and bad behavior. Usually happens with a lot of drinking. It takes the sting of death away, and you come away with only fond memories the life of a wonderful person. Of course, I am Irish married to an Italian so I am sure you can imagine the funerals I am talking about.
Maybe it is good to step up and stop cruelty of an individual when he/she is alive and do it the minute it happens. After they are gone we can all have a good laugh. The word "bullying" came to mind when I first saw that picture. Making fun of kids is like bullying, isn't it. It is damn hard to be kind all the time. It takes a lot of will power I am beginning to find because I love to laugh. I seem to make a joke out of everything and always have. I need to think about this a little more.

Well guys....I am feeling like we really should delete these images. We hate when others ridicule and exaggerate Adam's eccentricities so we really don't stand on much of a leg 'encouraging' this kind of ridicule! Trust me....I hate to say that as I had my own case of debillitating chuckles when I first saw it.....but buyer's remorse is setting in and it really has to go. JD really cannot help the twists in this face that make it humorous! JMHO 'my lovelies'.... [returns; puts on moderator hat] If peeps really think we should dial things back, we can a) remove the embed and just leave the link [my compromise suggestion], b) leave the first image, but remove the rest, or c) delete. Would like at least 5 votes for one or the other before doing anything though. Please delete.. we are FANS after all
