Longineu was a great drummer for Adam. He is re-establishing contact and letting the fanbase know. I don't think, it's because he looks for a job tomorrow, and clearly he does have a tour coming up, sans AL. This is a bit more long term thinking on his part, I believe. Don't understand all the negativity that I see flying around in the twitterverse. Imo, LP treated his stint with AL exactly as the temporary employment, which it was. Never found him not professional, with Adam or fans alike. If Adam wants to be the solo artist and not have a band, this is the type of musician he needs to try to find. I also never got the impression that LP had any problems with anyone. He just was less social with fans, because he was managing the rest of his career on off-time, instead of hanging with the fans. He left, when his contract was up and did not prolong his engagement when Adam extended the tour, because he had something else coming up with Yellowcard. I have no idea why people are up in arms about. I would love to see him back. Might actually hear the 'Is this Love' - beat the way it is supposed to sound for a change, lol. And I can imagine that the new sound, as announced, appeals more to him also. I understand why he would be interested. Agree. 100%

Yes! LP left GNT to go back to Yellow Card! He even got a very nice sendoff at his last show. Was it Atlanta? IMO, the stuff I am seeing on twitter is hearsay and assumptions. My favorite drummer, of the past, was Isaac though. He was excellent & his personality just seemed to "fit!"
Me too! I love Isaac

It's been happening all afternoon for me...with every refresh and every post. More aggravating than usual. I'm getting the Confirm Navigation box asking if I want to leave the page. I think I'm seeing everything...pics, etc. on the thread.

Agree. 100% Isaac may seem like the best fit personality wise, but IMO Longineu was the best, most versatile drummer Adam has had. With his talent/background I would love to hear him and Adam doing the blues/funk/reggae, rock, whatever...

For someone who doesn't get all the lingo, please explain the difference between "drop" and "release." Thanks.

I thought LP was odd. Talented but odd. I remember the sneaky assed taping of rehearsals and the hints for fan gifts....he always rubbed me the wrong way.
My favourite drummer was Issac.

Not sure if that varies by country. "Release" means that the radio stations can start playing it. I think?

I just went and listened to some Longineau YouTubes that are more recent than GNT. That man can play. He isn't showy, but instead is very conservative in the physical energy he uses to play. He has some really sophisticated and tasty skills. I don't imagine he'd be playing with Adam again, but he'd be great. Or Isaac. Or Rufuas, who uses a tremendous amount of physical energy (flail) and is also terrific.
