David Bowie (Official) NYTW ANNOUNCES WORLD PREMIERE OF LAZARUS
“There’s a starman waiting in the sky...“ It is with much pleasure and great excitement that we can confirm the Winter 2015 New York production of LAZARUS by David Bowie and Enda Walsh. LAZARUS is inspired by the 1963 novel, The Man Who Fell To Earth by Walter Tevis, and centres on the character of Thomas Jerome Newton, famously portrayed by Bowie in the 1976 screen adaptation directed by Nicolas Roeg. LAZARUS features songs specially composed by Bowie for this production as well as new arrangements of previously recorded songs. Read the full press release on DavidBowie.com. smarturl.it/BNetLAZARUS

Roger is behind a smidge in the drum battle poll.
I've been away all weekend, and was surprised to see the vote so close. Sorry to be the odd man out, but as much as I respect Roger as a drummer and as a man, Neil Peart holds almost God-like status in our house. Just a few examples of his skills.... for those who care. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Peart

Nothing. But I admit I have been voting for Roger because he is such a supporter of Adam. If other Adam fans are doing the same thing, it is probably skewing the results so that the winner is not being chosen by his drumming ability. Doesn't it give you pause when you think about why the average voter chooses the candidate he/she does? Are we as fickle with voting for political figures as for musicians? Yes, I know these polls are all just click bait and don't mean much. It just gripes my butt to see musicians in popularity contests like in high school. Never mind my bitching. Carry on.

I understand what you're saying but who of us is really, really qualified to make the "greatest rock drummer of all time" distinction when we are all but casual fans? It's all in fun, has no importance whatsoever, but like you said, you support Roger because he supports Adam. Good enough reason to me. I did do some reading on the two drummers and I see they are both qualified to "win" this distinction. They have worked their craft for decades and are influenced by many of the same mentors.
So, high school or not, it ain't that deep.
