Glad to know he finally found Gary who "groks" him. <grins> Just to add to my own previous post - When I was an undergraduate, I used to do sound mixing for local bands who played on or near campus. In all honesty, in no way could I have ever dealt with a singer with Adam's kind of requirements. Hell, I used to get pissy at people who used to come up to my board during a show when they whined at me to alter the mix. Admittedly, they were almost always the people who didn't bother to show up to rehearsal and then got nasty that they didn't "sound right". To which I was pretty unsympathetic. My very amateur experience notwithstanding, I actually feel for the poor souls who dealt with the "Wrath of Lambert" on the sound side. In my [limited] experience, most bands are pretty undemanding in terms of what they need (because the range of what they put out isn't all that large). Adam is a whole new species of beastie. He needs someone really, really good. Which leave most of the sound guys probably shell-shocked at trying to deal with him. Which, as we've seen, pisses Adam off and yet another sound tech bites the dust. So yeah. Hooray for Gary Stokes!
Exactly that, Hooray for Gary Stokes! It's probably make senses to have Gary to work on his mix, the guy has worked with someone like Adam before so understand pretty well all Adam's demand and special requisitions on mixing his sound. Gary has worked for a great singer that also has sensitive hearing, KD Lang. This is where the DMG connection work at best.

Hi Everyone, I have been lurking on this board for a while and have been a fan of Adam since October 2014. I watched him on Glee and thought his Marry the Night was really amazing. And then my sister sent me his clip of Mad World on Idol (the first one). I didn't know why but I just kept replaying that clip over and over again. And then I got curious and started to wikipedia, google and youtube him... and the rest is history. Fell down the rabbit hole hard and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't go "Adam this and Adam that" lol. I then found out that he was in my city with Queen in July 2014. So I missed him by three months... and was heartbroken :( And then when the time came for my vacation this year, I decided to take it early in February and travel to England to see the three QAL concerts in Wembley, Liverpool and Sheffield. Got general admission for the first two shows and seats for the third show. Waited 9-10 hours for the first two shows and got to be first row at the B-stage I have never done anything like that for anyone before. The concerts were just magical and Adam was just amazing. Got to see him up close and got to hold his hand twice I felt like the luckiest girl in the world. I also got to meet Graciejane and Bristolgill at the Liverpool show I saw that you were able to be front row at the B-stage as well. I waved at you but I don't think you could see me. I am the Asian girl from Montreal who waited in line with my husband Anyway, I cannot wait for Ghost Town and for the Original High. Adam is so underrated, it is almost criminal. I have been so excited about all the praises Ghost Town has been getting and really hope that it will be the hit song that will finally propel Adam to the stratosphere where he belongs Hi Liliane, I remember you and your husband well from our hours queuing for the Liverpool concert. I was with Bristolgill but I don't think Graciejane was there.... (Or were you, Gracie?) i actually have a photo, somewhere, of you both in that lovely, fun group that huddled in the doorway, trying to escape the relentless wind and rain - compulsory Adam queuing weather! So glad you found your way here - such a great time coming up for Adam...and us! Post often.

Sorry, but these terms are Greek to me as well. They refer to styles of rock and pop singing, aqnd I studied more traditional clasic techniques. Nationaglampoon would probably be the person to explain all this. GLAMPOON!!!!! CALLING GLAMPOON! Try this article. completevocalinstitute.com/vocal-technique/cvt-explained/four-vocal-modes/I think "close" = "curbing", "head voice" = "neutral", and in the case of "pharyngeal" I think it's neutral but twanged with some distortion. Thank you! I had run across that web site when researching but was looking for the precise terms. But reading the whole thing gives more definition to the terms!
