not impressed with this list either..except for Celine Celine Dion...? It's Mika's understanding that she is a destitute lounge singer in Quebec.

What a run Adam got with that facial hair. Who else could get so much publicity for growing hair on their face. He knows how to play the media better than anyone I know. I cannot wait for the next project he will pull to have every columnist of every paper writing a little something about our genius bb. I love the guy. Hair or no hair, he is the sexiest dude on the planet. I don't think kissing bass players is why we go to his concerts. First, it is his presence that causes the electricity to travel from audience to entertainer to course through your veins and make your skin crackle. Then he opens his mouth and the most incredible, beautiful, original, authentic, crystal clear notes come out of that gorgeous mouth. Then he moves like a cat and smiles with that smile that makes you think the sun just came out. Then you're singing his songs at the top of your lungs, moving your feet and dancing like you haven't danced in years, then screaming and clapping at the end of his performance because you loved it. You finally leave the concert feeling like you have lost your hearing with the biggest smile on your face, and your heart full of love, feeling better and younger and more beautiful than you have felt in years. That's why I go to Adam's concerts. I TOTALLY LOVE THIS POST, IRISH!!! That captures the experience so beautifully. I'm amazed that people are seriously lamenting about an artist that has written for huge, A-list talent. By the way, most writers/artists are not one-note, they have to go where the money is; that is what pays the bills. It does NOT mean they are not capable of other stuff. They get their foot in the door with whatever means possible and then expand. I am STOKED at the Claude Kelly tweet about Creative Risks!!! That's what is going to make Adam a game-changer. And notice how, in the Prince quote, and the ASCAP vids, he is identifying himself so much more as a WRITER, not a singer/performer only. This creative experience is having a profound effect on him, I would bet on it.

www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr-esq/should-covering-songs-be-illegal-183759Should Covering Songs Be Illegal? Dr. Luke, Ke$ha, Adam Lambert Weigh In Prince thinks an artist's work shouldn't be available for reinterpretation, but today's hitmakers are torn. 6:05 PM 4/29/2011 by Shirley Halperin What do other artists and music makers think of Prince’s point? THR asked at Wednesday’s ASCAP Pop Awards, which recognized some of 2010’s biggest hits.Adam Lambert: “I understand where he’s coming from. I mean, he's Prince. I think he can get his way. But there is something to that, because as artists and writers, we create these songs and we have this passion and vision for it. Then the minute someone covers it, you run the risk of it either being great or falling apart.” Adam Covers Prince-

Thanks for the good wishes, 4Msrmyn! But I'm now thoroughly embarrassed though, because your post made me realize that I neglected to add the year to my guess!! Our 50th isn't actually until 2012, which is the year that I meant to put in my guess. But I'll save your wishes to enjoy then! ...off, redfaced, to correct my guess now...

Wandering into wikipedia land... didn't quite realize Claude Kelly had a hand in so many heavily played/well-known tunes (I edited down considerably):
2008
"Circus" - Britney Spears
2009
"My Life Would Suck Without You" - Kelly Clarkson "Party in the U.S.A." - Miley Cyrus "In My Head" - Jason Derülo
2010
"Woohoo" - Christina Aguilera featuring Nicki Minaj "Take It Off" - Ke$ha "Grenade" - Bruno Mars "Price Tag" - Jessie J ft. B.o.B
2011
"Gasoline" - Britney Spears

Didn't he write Can't Let You Go as well? yes, i think so. JMO but I think CLYG is overproduced, if that's what people would call having the instrumentals overpower/compete with the vocals but FYE is perfect. I still love that song.

This one I like. Maybe the tall-ass pompadour is too much with stache/goatee. Just catchin' up on the thread but HAD to stop and demand you take this back!! Forget about apologizing to JD, apologize for this right now, missy!! *harumphingveryloudly* >:( >:( (OMG the eyes are kinda killingmesoftly.) OMG is right! Calm yourself. That wasn't meant as a dis to that precious tower of hair. I much prefer Tall Ass Pom by itself ( without the stache/goatee). I will not apologize for always loving Emo best or saying that I think JD did a poor job when I think it's so. Ask anyone, I gave JD props for Wsdnesday. Edit day
