Mika, I think there is a difference between the type of "fanwars" you are referring to and what I referenced.
Seeking out sites to intentionally say nasty things isn't fanwarring, that's trolling and I'm not sure how anyone gets enjoyment out of that.
However, I post on several "non" Adam centric boards and I quite enjoy pushing back on the bitter fans of others who have nasty things to say about Adam and like to call him various names or degrade his accomplishments. If that makes me immature, I'll own my immaturity without apology and keep on doing it because to not do it allows them to go unchecked and say whatever they want and 99% of what they say is total bullshit. YMMV and good for you in being above it all.

This I really enjoyed!! The intro and then Sinatra's "I Did It My Way' was beyond perfection. Light-hearted and funny. Thanks, wal!  I hope someone could tweet this to Nancy Sinatra. She loves Adam and having her dad's signature song playing in the video is extra special. Thanks for the download link for 'Turning On' Gelly14. It will be getting some heavy rotation on my ipod today! ;-) Managed to tune in to the Flea radio station for the first time today - very cool to hear so many Adam & Citizen Vein songs on the radio! Lifts the day up a bit! :-)Thanks for the info on the flea radio station Catzmadam. Maybe my new favourite station!

YMMV and good for you in being above it all. LOL!! I've often wondered how people on certain boards who say the same thing everyday continue to repeat the same stuff over and over. I think, "Damn, don't you ever go back and read your posts and KNOW what you just said was complete BS??" Going back to the comments about Adam not being a songwriter and yes, we just listened to an hour solid of Adam's songs. It was fantastic. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the Citizen Vein stuff. When I first heard it, I think I was so preoccupied with staring at Adam on the YTs, that I wasn't really listening, but hearing the songs on radio, they are some great rock tunes. I do LOVE that funkier version of "Kiss and Tell" and CTF, PGTC, Glamorize all sounded great. Never mind Voodoo, Broken Open, Strut, DTRH ... Glad you're handling things on the front lines for when people post complete lies in hopes that others will believe. |
