I've listened to Ghost Town several times now since 9 P.M., here in southern Ca. My first thought was ,it sounds different- the orchestration and the structure of the song is unfamiliar to me and that's what folks who know alot more about the mechanics of music might be responding to. I asked my daughter what she thought, and she used the word 'intriguing" and continued her text to me by saying that she has to listen to it more before she takes it all in. Besides being an attorney, she's also a zumba instructor and creates playlists for her classes,so she'll figure out if GT is one that will get her students movin' and groovin'.
I love hearing Adam's voice, and this song is definitely not overproduced. I think it will get lots of guys whistling the summer away if it gets the expected radio play. Sorry, ladies, I'm not being sexist here, but I don't hear as many women whistling---and I spent the early years of my life walking by construction sites on my way to work in NYC, so I DO have stories to tell about which gender does the most whistling!!!
SOOOO- I will need some time and some more listens before I get my thoughts around this track. Right now, I'm mostly thinking about Adam, because as Momtomany rightfully said, this night belongs to him and I hope his mind and heart is overflowing with joy as he shares his gift with all of us. Thank you all for being here with me on this very special occasion.......

What a fabulous night in Adam Land!!! I am here alll the time but seldom post. I just got off the phone with tech support at Amazon and they have heard now from a radio station and me about the mix up with the "F" word in the clean version and the absence of that word in the explicit version. They were pretty mortified and apologetic and are working on correcting it now. For anyone that downloaded already and wants to get the corrected version, they will do this at no charge. Obviously. I found this little snafu amusing and just another addition to our stockpile of Adam trivia for posterity. I reported it too, using Amazon's online chat support. They gave me a $5 gift certificate for my trouble. More money for gifting!

Well, it makes me want to get up and dance a hustle (modern day hustle dance, which is a bit different than the 70's version in styling).
