Why are people focusing on the POP chart. It's the overall chart that matters Exactly!!! All this recounting of the pop chart is driving me nuts. It is OVERALL only that matters. Fans need to stop inflating his numbers. The song will work or not. It is odd but that makes it more interesting, with the hook in the instrumental, not the verse or chorus. And the bridge is a little generic. His voice sounds reeeeally great. I wonder sometimes about Adam's songwriting ability. I like his own songs a lot (Voodoo is a fave) but they are not hooky. Compare to "Shut Up and Dance." What will Adam do live while the whistle riff is happening? Bop his head? What do you mean when you say "matters" ? I need a definition here because: 1) the genre charts exist for some reason, they are not fan's imagination... 2) why should I care how a pop song compares to, say, a rap one or a hip-hop? 3) why do you use the words "inflating the numbers" when a Pop chart is being quoted? 4) Adam is happy with the pop chart position = I am happy, why not you?

Female First @femalefirst_UK 2m2 minutes ago Adam Lambert single review - 'Ghost Town' - 5 out of 5 - 'the best pop song this year' www.femalefirst.co.uk/music/reviews/single/adam-lambert-ghost-town-single-review-756441.html … @adamlambert @shoshannastone by Daniel Falconer | 21 April 2015 Transport yourself into Adam Lambert's 'Ghost Town' heart with his brand new single, kickstarting with 45 seconds of melodic and soothing vocal tones before rampaging through an intense and exciting chorus that showcases Adam at his very best. The singer is searching his soul with the first cut from his third studio record, and you'll be inclined to do the same with your first listen to this track. Produced by album executive producers Max Martin and Shellback, this is a song that once more sees Adam push any genre boundaries he could possibly be restricted by, instead blending a variety of folk, pop, electro and house together and refusing to conform to the usual trends. Addictive and catchy, there's a whistle line acting as a hook which you won't be able to get out of your mind, contrasting against the dark mood and tone that a lot of the track portrays. The lyrics are poignant and heavy, but thankfully aren't presented in a way that's going to leave you feeling hollow. more..

OMG. How obnoxious! I thought we were past the gay, gay, gay. And guyliner. Not these DJs. They were not the least bit interested in talking about his new single or album. They thought they were oh so clever, but I hope when he hung up, Adam called Shoshonna and told her never again to book an interview with those two. this one was the worst! nauseating... he has so much patience...I even tweeted them suggesting to ask about his music.. I just couldn't take it... I think it rather embarrassed the co-host. He tried to stop her several times and she just plowed ahead and wouldn't listen to him. Seemed kind of the female version of Howard Stern and disrespectful of her co-workers.

I don't understand why the stations that get Adam for an interview do not play Ghost Town. How does it make any sense? and all the "gay" and "idol" talk is frustrating... I am now thinking of avoiding the radio interviews... Just like last time...

It is actually #48, which is great and a cause for happiness too! Sorry but I really don't see how going straight to #1 in his genre could elicit anything but pride and excitement. It's been a little while since we've seen him on any charts so I'm very happy for him.

Because all the genres are lumped together when counting the sales anyway. So what's the point at looking at these other charts, cause they don't represent the song/album position. There's BB200 for albums & BB100 for songs. There's not BBPOP200 or whatever. Hope it didn't sound rude. Of course everyone can do what they want and we all want the same thing so don't worry be happy
