Here's a quick, simple, and often effective little technique to use when feeling frustrated by or temped to join in the fan wars, drained by anxiety (such as worry about friends going through tough times like bamafan or catzmadam), or when wanting to balance emotions or increase mental clarity. Guess who was the surprise guest at Prince's concert last night? Nikka Costa!! Guess what she sang?? Whole Lotta love! I love Nikka and I love Prince, but may I just say that Adam OWNS this song! Interesting that in the vid posted by wal of nikka costa and prince singng WLL...the guys video taping..said to each other ..."who is that?" "uh I don't know!" I would not have known who it was either. Must say ..no comparison..she at least makes an effort for energy ...Prince was just flat out kinda... flat

I didn't realize until early this afternoon that Adam hasn't tweeted in 2 days and we've gotten accustomed to much more and it's been fun. I'm guessing he's "keeping it real" and taking some time for himself and those he wants to be with. I think the ASCAP awards were the night he got back from New York and then he was in the studio for 2 days with Claude Kelley so maybe he decided it was time for some "me time." It's hard for us but good for him. I'm guessing his plate is very full and will just get fuller as the album progresses and decisions have to be made re: the photoshoot for the cover, title for the album, first single, titles for the tracks, selecting the tracks, promotional appearances, tour concept and the list goes on for him. He'll be back soon. |
