CHR Last week Pop (CHR): --------- 67 LAMBERT, ADAM Ghost Town 224 0 224 2.065 This week Spincrease ADAM LAMBERT Ghost Town 526 115 So 224 last week, move of 526 this week should mean total spins for the chart this week is 750. That should put him just under top 50. That should put him IN Top 50! There should be recurrents knocking out 2-4 songs! I was attempting to not get too greedy with my assumptions.

Just checked the songs on last week's published Top 40 chart between 51 and GT. The only songs in that group that are ahead of Adam on the Spin Increase chart are already in the Top 50!!! Guys! There is NO WAY, it can't make Top 50 tonight! Also checked possible recurrents at Pulse: 2 recurrents (if they feel like it) plus one Purge!

This is amazing! Almost don't know how to respond to such positive radio support! One question, is Q102 not on the list because spins were not increased? I know they played every hour the first day and haven't kept up at that level. Any idea how much they have played the song?

Just for some perspective as we watch Ghost Town climb the charts I decided to look back at the FYE singles. From my timeline I find
Nov 18, 2009 POP: 68 65 ADAM LAMBERT For Your Entertainment 200 155 45 0.625 +0 Spins -16 Bullet +0.015 AI
HAC: 54 47 ADAM LAMBERT For Your Entertainment 214 143 71 0.990 -3 Spins -14 Bullet -0.042 AI
Z100 adds WWFM 80 ADAM LAMBERT Whataya Want From Me 82 0 82 0.366 The report of the Z100 add was posted on Pulse on Nov 18th. This was the indication that they were ditching FYE and promoting WWFM to radio. The official add date was later reported as Nov 24th. The initial week spins consisted entirely of Z100 and Open House Party (syndicated program) spins. On November 22 this was posted (OHP did not spin again so those spins fell out of the total)
92 94 ADAM LAMBERT Whataya Want From Me 50 53 -3 1.423 -45 Spins -98 Bullet +0.402 AI GT was at #67 CHR and #51 HAC its 1st official week on the chart.
From Nov 29th
POP: 92 66 ADAM LAMBERT Whataya Want From Me 237 50 187 3.587 +67 Spins +112 Bullet +0.122 AI
HAC: 91 65 ADAM LAMBERT Whataya Want From Me 80 29 51 1.170 +4 Spins +2 Bullet +0.027 AI On Dec 7th WWFM hits #50 Pop/CHR and #51 HAC (about 3 weeks in)
POP: 62 50 ADAM LAMBERT Whataya Want From Me 524 265 259 5.769 +39 Spins +11 Bullet +0.415 AI
HAC: 63 51 ADAM LAMBERT Whataya Want From Me 158 84 74 1.301 +22 Spins +18 Bullet +0.033 AI
#182 on iTunes So just looking at things right now I would say Ghost Town is already starting better at radio then any of Adam's previous singles. All we can do now is keep our fingers crossed that this continues.

I know they played every hour the first day and haven't kept up at that level. Any idea how much they have played the song? Looking up the station itself and checking its playlist gives me this: lw: Apr 19 - Apr 25 TW: Apr 26 - May 2 lw TW Artist Title SpinsTW Spinslw Move Aud 24 46 ADAM LAMBERT Ghost Town 8 24 -16 0.1008
19 on day 1 (Tues) 3 on day 2 1 on day 3 1 on either Fri or Sat Those day 1 spins were a special intro so not expected to be maintained. Since it was spun 8 times this week if you ignore the day 1 spins you could consider that a modest increase. While it is nice to have a few stations spinning a lot those early spinners will not be able to keep that rotation up as long as some of the stations that start slower and build so I'm not surprised that some of them backed down a little. It is better after that first week that the stations build rotation more naturally so that they peak together. One of the reasons WWFM never made it higher than it did was that by the time it was in the top 20 the early adopters were backing off of spins and the newer stations weren't coming in fast enough. It's chart run was a long drawn out process but that also meant that it didn't get as high as it could have. If the stations had all hit their peak spins in a more concentrated period the song would have charted higher.

Not up to speed on what's where and only thing I found said 1 recurrent (Ed Sheeran). ETA: Ok, I see that Ronson fell out of top 10 so he could go recurrent too but where do you see what might be purged?

One song that went to 51 last night should come up with the recurrent/purges but hopefully we'll see GT at 49 or 50.

I have that thread open and I could swear I checked the last two pages repeatedly and missed seeing what was due to go recurrent. Trying to skim too fast I suspect. Went back and scanned carefully and found them. I guess I was looking for a nice neat list but that was only there for what went recurrent last week in the published chart summary.

====== What is "Taking off" chart? I mean do we know the criteria for getting on it? I think I understand all the rest.... TY The Taking Off list is the songs that are having the most NEW spins in the given week. The spincrease chart is the list of songs with the highest total increase in spins. I've been tracking the Spincrease in the HAC since we have TW & LW spin counts for each day in that format. The SpinIncrease does not match up exactly. ie if you add the spin increase of 228 today with last Sundays spins of 140 you only get 368 spins instead of the 375 the chart is showing. You can see that even just comparing todays 7day Move of 235 and the Spincrease Move of 228 that there is not an exact correlation. I think the Spincrease just tracks those Stations that increase their number of spins and does not include those stations that stay the same or drop spins.

Last night I was in the 51-200 chart thread there and saw the probable recurrent names but that thread wasn't updated recently. Some of the same comments were in both threads so I was getting dejavu trying to see what pattihum was seeing too.
