From the MTV article “I don’t think I’ve ever been in more of an extreme close-up in my entire life so you, the viewer, get to be right up in my face and see what I’m going through,” Adam said. “It was a little scary. I don’t think I’ve ever felt that vulnerable on camera before.” The former “American Idol” singer was inspired by “retro Hollywood” icons. “I’m talking about James Dean and Elvis and some of this retro Hollywood imagery,” he said. “One of the other photos I gave him was Clint Eastwood as ’Dirty Harry.'” He was also inspired by Yves Saint Laurent’s men’s fashion. “We threw it all in a blender creatively and just pressed ’whip’ and made a big old smoothie out of it all,” he said. “And I loved what we came up with.” www.mtv.com/news/2145829/adam-lambert-ghost-town-music-video/?utm=share_twitter

Yeah but thost IIHY and NCOE vids are barley over 40 million. Not saying they weren't good vids. But I think this vid is produced better, and it's better overall. Adams in the vid a lot it would be weird if he wasen't haha. May not be someone's type of thing, but I Think the majority of the key demographic well love it, it's an amazing mv, full of artistry. Whether or not too much dancing or flashes, is up for discussion but I like how its trippy.

Having a Hype Williams video is a big deal and having his name in the video is kind of like have a designer label. *** I absolutely LOVE this video. I absolutely LOVE this song I am not a "I love all thing Adam fan." But this is perfect from both an artistic and marketing standpoint. {picture some dancing, writhing person her.}

Haven't formed an opinion of the video but first time did appreciate how much we see and experience Adam, and not with a band. I am surprised that w/ all the hype by ETonline that it was not mentioned at the start of the show, seemed odd if they want people to stay tuned in for the entire show. And I missed seeing Hype's name the first view...

SOOOO SEXY - Beautiful Writhing Bodies!! For the non Adam Fanatic I think this will be very appealing! You may be right.... In many ways, the MVs are indeed made to attract the more casual viewer - all the (flashes of) beautiful, writhing bodies may well appeal but almost every other vid out there does that kind of thing better, more watchable, more explicitly... But they should also have had more opportunity to find Adam appealing, too... IMHO the more casual viewer or potential new fan would FIND little NEW engagement with Adam as we know him, in this little film. This. Nothing new here other than the first montage of the actual ghost town images, which was beautifully shot. Shrug. I don't know how much or if videos sell anything anymore, so whatever. It seems clear that WBR has thrown some serious $$ around (they may not call it payola anymore, but you know it's still happening) so at least Adam has some support for once. Me, I'm waiting for the album.
