Oh Sophie.......It's so edgy and ravey. It's supposed to look dreamy, foggy and not well-lit...lol. I think the younger folks will like it. The only thing I would have liked is maybe a spash of color once to slap me in the face..lol. Oh, Bama - edgy was what I wanted - all i got was a throw back to IIHY but on even less of a budget and without that gorgeous end shot of A that saved the day. i confess now - i watched IIHY three times. it was like a good effort final year at school video project. In GhostTown it is Adam that isn't well-lit...not the whole thing. I'll shut up now - fighting off the sleeping pill I chose the wrong night to take.... sorry gang - I always try to say positive things...... WOW! 50 + adds....a day of dreams!  |

My first "feel" while watching the video was that it was something I would expect to see at some hip exhibit at the MOMA...
..which means two things as far as I am concerned: 1) it is ARTISTIC and 2) it is IN/COOL
something that creates specific mood, a feeling, an aura...nothing literal after the first few shots... existential for the most part.
Hype's name showing up in the middle startled me too, but if it is "good for business" then be it...
I also agree that in a way it is IIHY V2.0 but darker and much more elusive...
IMO it should be a hit with the EDM loving crowd!

Haven't formed an opinion of the video but first time did appreciate how much we see and experience Adam, and not with a band. I am surprised that w/ all the hype by ETonline that it was not mentioned at the start of the show, seemed odd if they want people to stay tuned in for the entire show. And I missed seeing Hype's name the first view... Agree. And after 7:30 I had trouble finding the video on their site. Thought it would be up front and center. Would have appreciated if the shots were a little slower so I could take in the 'pretty', but that wouldn't match the tempo of the song. As JustGill said, ' I really appreciate that with all that, we got Adam first and last, and front and centre!' |

SOOOO SEXY - Beautiful Writhing Bodies!! For the non Adam Fanatic I think this will be very appealing! You may be right.... In many ways, the MVs are indeed made to attract the more casual viewer - all the (flashes of) beautiful, writhing bodies may well appeal but almost every other vid out there does that kind of thing better, more watchable, more explicitly... But they should also have had more opportunity to find Adam appealing, too... IMHO the more casual viewer or potential new fan would FIND little NEW engagement with Adam as we know him, in this little film. |
