Still scorned in DC  Baltimore added last week. Can you hear 106.5 at all on your side of the Beltway? I know the signal fizzes out around the American Legion Bridge. Nope, I'm in a Northern Virginia suburb of DC so I can't get that. However, I have Sirius so I've started listening to Channel 3 Venus; one of these days I'll get lucky and catch it. And I remain hopeful that it'll be added to our local stations, including Hot 99.5 home of the infamous Toby Knapp, once it's climbed a little higher on the charts. |

OK Another ???
I'm assuming these M&G at the various radio stations are WB payola for play BUT how does a M&G benefit a station, I understand how the jingle balls concerts benefit the stations but a M&G How does a station make $ on that?????? My local HAC is giving away $2000 a day this week ($1000 twice a day). Cash! Giveaways, contests, tickets to concerts (mine is also sending people on airplane trips to concerts) all increase the number of people listening. The more listeners the more they can charge for advertising. |

Did we know that Sterling Fox said he actually did the whistling? I remember him saying he "supplied the whistle" ...but now he says he literally did it. Yeah, I brought the "supplied" remark from youtube and even went back and looked later but the conversation hadn't gotten as far as him actually whistling. Thanks for bringing over the full convo. So it looks like it is a real whistle, wonder why Adam couldn't say? |

Ha! I see I got an alert on my phone 10 minutes ago that Hot 99.5 was playing Ghost Town! Too bad it was in the other room; I missed it. But I love these alerts! I wonder if a lot of other stations offer that service? ETA - I didn't miss it after all - the text alert from Hot 99.5 gave me a 10 minute heads up! I love this!! (and yes, I did send out a #np tweet to say so  ) |
