Fans are getting burned out and those who have twitter lists surely already know the push is on to try and get that million. No one will remember next week that it was Wednesday instead of Tuesday that it hit a million and we would have had it easy if the 250,000 views on the Ellen video had been included. Fans can do a lot but we are sprinters and youtube seems to take work which may be why the Spotify numbers may be taking off like gangbusters, as it seems easier to loop and have numbers count. Plus Spotify has charts we can track. But for twitter peeps there are lots of stations tweeting about him, that needs to be spread around with retweets etc imo. ITA. And for people like me, I cannot watch strobe, so the official vid is out for this kid. So I either support Adam by giving the lyric vid hits and watch Ellen because it makes me happy and flail for radio or call it a day. Adam and his team are really moving this song along. I am not saying fans don't count. I respect every person for how they feel they can best support this new era. Now Adam is on a major radio promo tour and it's all kinds of win. This time radio WANTS Adam and his music. And Ghost Town is catching on in a big way. It's beautiful to see.  |

Wanted to respond to video situation. That my own history on YT may be influencing the weird display order, was interesting suggestion. I surely have played the music video more times now than the lyric video, but maybe I did myself in somewhere by using different searches to get to the video and by searching neutrally 'Ghost Town Adam Lambert', I may be triggering a search entry for both, even though I then select the music video, who knows. So, I decided to delete my youtube history and sure enough, now the music video is first and the lyric video second. And the new picture has meanwhile arrived too, like @theogma has suggested. But on google search, nothing has changed, with or without history. I see the lyric video first. Interestingly, if I enter 'Ghost Town Adam Lambert' in the search field and then on the display screen press the 'VIDEO' button, I get a list of about 100 videos, but the official GT video is not even on the list! It starts with lyric video, then come all kinds of clones that people have made, Ellen is there, the snippets, all kinds of stuff, but the actual music video is absent. Besides WTF I am not sure what else to say about this... Why not just go to Adam's YouTube page and play it? Doesn't that count? Since I follow his YouTube page that's what I've been doing as I think of it through the day. Why would someone have to search for it each time? Or did I miss something and that's what I should have been doing for the past week?? I think this is more about how non fans can find it if they've heard about it and are searching for it so they can see the video. |
