He needs to be in the Top40, then he'll get a lot of Top40 adds. Sounds ludicrous, but it seems that way with a lot of stations. Gotta prove yourself first, in the wide arena of singers. So do your radio station magic. Follow-thru with the support, follow when they play. Vote in the top 9 or 5 songs to get played. We have to do it until it gets up there.
Slow grind, I know, but we can do it.

Have just watched the Ghost Town MV on VivaTV UK and it looked absolutely fabulous on the big screen. Very excited  YAY!! So happy for you Floralia!! Fans are getting burned out and those who have twitter lists surely already know the push is on to try and get that million. No one will remember next week that it was Wednesday instead of Tuesday that it hit a million and we would have had it easy if the 250,000 views on the Ellen video had been included. Fans can do a lot but we are sprinters and youtube seems to take work which may be why the Spotify numbers may be taking off like gangbusters, as it seems easier to loop and have numbers count. Plus Spotify has charts we can track. But for twitter peeps there are lots of stations tweeting about him, that needs to be spread around with retweets etc imo. ITA. And for people like me, I cannot watch strobe, so the official vid is out for this kid. So I either support Adam by giving the lyric vid hits and watch Ellen because it makes me happy and flail for radio or call it a day. Adam and his team are really moving this song along. I am not saying fans don't count. I respect every person for how they feel they can best support this new era. Now Adam is on a major radio promo tour and it's all kinds of win. This time radio WANTS Adam and his music. And Ghost Town is catching on in a big way. It's beautiful to see.  I've played it 50 times today perhaps but I haven't watched it once. I always run multiple tabs so it just runs in the background while I do something else, if I'm alone I have the earphone jack out so I can hear when it changes to another vid. Of course you can't multi-task like that if your main internet appliance is a phone or tablet. And you are right, all fans do their own thing. I vote once per poll for example, you very rarely will get me doing anything hourly. |
