Adam starts talking around the one minute mark He says "trap light" - I wonder if that's the Edge of the Night song. Or maybe even the Lucy w Brian May. Album sounds really sonically interesting. And singing in a lower register. Nice. Another thing he says in the earlier Wango Tango interview is that he's worked with Sia. When was that? Wow -- a Trap "lite" song?!?!?! If that is the song with Brian May on it, some Queen fans' heads are gonna explode. I am not sure what he means by calling it lite -- but I think that might me less hat, less aggressive, but the same beat. Not a glitch. They did similar twitter announcements for everyone who was there before they appeared. And appearances like this are usually often not promoted but done as surprises. The performers are usually all announced. Like it is every year -- the performer list was loaded this year: Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Calvin Harris, Nick Jonas, Meghan Trainor, David Guetta, Jason Derulo, Sia, Ne-Yo, Echosmith, Lunchmoney Lewis, Fifth Harmony, Tori Kelly and Natalie LaRose. Wango Tango was sold out soon after tickets went on sale on April 3rd. (It always sells out.) All the promotion was really focused on the live stream and to promote KIIS-FM. So those Twitter and online promos are to drive traffic to the website. Best done when it is happening. Sure, but weren't the the red carpet and Adam's interview streamed live earlier in the evening ? Maybe I'm mistaken but if they were, and I had known about it, I would definitely have been driven to the website for a look. The RC was aired before yes, but I'm not sure if they showed Adam's as well. RC started at 3pm (midnight for me) and I had it running for about half an hour to see if Adam would show up. Then I closed it and went to bed. The tweet from Adam was a few hours later I think (that he was going to announce Sia, which was at 6.55 pm). They aired the RC later on again. |

This is not just the die hard fans...it's getting out there and has interest!!! Looks good - is the growth rate actually increasing do you know? It's increasing somewhat. Average over the last 3 days is 148k increase. The 3 days before that the increase was 132k on average. We'll have to see if that continues to increase. |

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers.
I just wanted to say that I was getting frustrated because I had only heard GT four times on the radio and I live in an area where four stations have added it. Yesterday, I actually heard it four times all in one day so I was thrilled.
My sister, who is in the area, has heard it a lot more than I have and swears she has heard it over five stations, one of the plays being a remix, which she didn't like. Do remixes count for a spin? Not sure what station or format she had heard the remix.

Happy Mother's Day .... and if you have time today and everyday pushing Ghost Town on YouYube . music video,Spotify,etc.very important. would be great to get both into the 3 million catagories

They showed Adam on the KIIS pink carpet last night in real time. There was no announcement why he was there. But a few fans were watching. He was not on the published performer schedule. But when Adam showed up there, some fans speculated that he was there to do a performance which seemed really unlikely -- the schedule was tight, he did not have a band with him, and he only has one new song out -- no set to perform. His appearance to introduce Sia was only announced shortly before it happened by Adam and KIIS. Unannounced performances are rare, but surprise guests are pretty common at these kind of radio concerts. |
