ETA: One thing to remember when comparing these two songs is that BTIKM did not have an album preorder competing with it for sales. I think it is mostly the time delay factor because it gets recorded before the new charts are even out for that week. So, it could be 2 weeks before it shows up on AT40.  Aw shucks!!! |

A possibility that the new M5 song could sabotage the Top 40 for GT for Sunday. If that happens, don't worry, because there are 15 songs above GT that are dropping. So Top 40 will happen next week and then higher in the next few weeks.

Yes, they do! So ridiculous that the artists that don't need that deal are the ones that get it! :(
If the Calvin Harris song gets purged, it will still hapen for GT. Otherwise, we may have to wait a few more days.

Do songs just come out of nowhere into the top 40 within a day or two of release? I guess so if you guys are mentioning it. The rich get richer etc. etc. |

I actually would almost prefer if GT didn't quite make the top 40 this week because with the songs that are dropping he could end up moving several spots during the coming week so if he was at #41 this week but picked up 4 or 5 spots during the week he could have a higher debut in the top 40 rather than just squeaking in at the bottom. So keep in mind that not making it this week could end up making it look better next week with a potentially higher entry.
