Just taking a guess on his next CD, I see some love songs being written..

Much as I dislike her, Juliana Rancic made a point on FASHION POLICE that I hissed at but it could be valid. She, along with others, did not understand Adam being so over the top and glittery and thought he was a poser. As usual talent does not enter into the equation. At the Grammy Red Carpet he came off as a hot, fashionable, Grammy nominated rock star, one who they could be a little more comfortable with. Now I hate that it might be true and I vehemently disagree but if it is, Adam may have garnered some new fans.
You may have a point. So typical and so often, people only see the surface and make no attempt to look further. (I'm not judging, I'm totally guilty of it too.) I think Adam has always known this and that is why in the past has been more "in your face" or glittery, OTT to challenge that. To say, "Yeah, I'm gluing rhinestones to my eyes, bitch!" Some accept him for who he is and what he's saying and others reject it on sight. Same is true for any artist – Gaga is this equation times a thousand.
Adam, as we know, is a complex person of many moods and he's done his glittery thang and maybe right now he's in a more introspective mood. He doesn't feel he has so much to prove anymore, so he can well, to quote Randy
??? "He can pull it back, change it up" and do something completely different. Which doesn't mean he won't do a complete 180 next time (one of the million reasons why we love him).Maybe those who are only seeing the surface are finally getting that. He has repackaged and his look Sunday made him more accessible to many people who saw only the surface before.
I think the bump is residual of all the press from last week – it was a lot and not everyone goes right out an downloads. Sometimes they make a mental note and do their iTunesing a little later.
