Well no, because the shirt he wore extended in length past the jacket. If it was in a different color it would cut up the lines of his body instead of emphasizing how tall and slim he is. The mostly monochrome was key to that particular style. And I say mostly because while it doesn't really show in pictures, I bet the the different textures of the shirt versus the jacket were actually pretty striking in person, a more subtle change in shade and sheen versus just different colors.
Again agree. This is the shirt (this pic is from the Japan promo tour) and as we can see it's silk. I bet it looked amazing in person.
