Wow he's really singing high on TOH.. is that falsetto? Yup, falsetto. You probably want to skip the rest of this post. I love Adam, but, I am not a happy cassie at the moment. I hate Max Martin! He persuaded Adam to abandon his one in a billion, other-worldly, impeccable head voice in favor of falsetto. It is like leaving the Ferrari in the garage, and puttering down the street on a moped. Adam's unique claim to fame is his amazing, powerful, rich, resonant, pure, full voice. Falsetto, by its nature, has none of those things.
I don't know what to say. I better just go play Save Me and WWTLF a dozen times to clean out my brain before I start plotting an assassination. I'm a day late, but I agree with your yellow comment. Well, now we know what his falsetto sounds like. I don't know why Adam should be singing falsetto when he can actually really sing it. Falsetto in pop/rock is for those who can't actually sing the high notes in head voice. (Plus, the highest notes are not in tune, and not really all that high for him.) And a lot of those guys have no head voice. They go from chest voice to falsetto because they don't know how else to do it.

Quite shocking to me how tastes differ. Everything I have heard so far sounds so fresh to me!!! I couldn't be happier. Fresh! That's the word I've been searching for to describe Adam's newest music. The songs I've heard so far are a better version of Adam's earliest POP ventures. I love when an artist explores new sounds and techniques. I hope that those fans that are yearning for more of the same will appreciate Adam's newest journey. It feels like he has nailed it this time around with his phrasing and annunciation.
I found it funny yesterday when Elvis (I think) was asking Adam how is voice has changed over the years. I don't think I've ever heard that asked of another pop artist.
A light bulb just went on in my head when I read this: "I hope that those fans that are yearning for more of the same will appreciate Adam's newest journey". It brings us back to Adam's explanation of "The Original High", doesn't it? Time to move on and not get caught up in the bubble trying to re-create the past? Adam has changed. As I said earlier, I couldn't be more stoked about Adam's new sound. It's more mature, it's fresh, it's somewhat complex and intriguing but I want to inhale it over and over again like a drug, and it gets better with every dose. I'm definitely feeling Adam realness and his longing for something he can't "put his finger on" yet. I guess it's the more restrained tone in his voice and a stronger cohesiveness sonically that makes his work more believable for me, and even though not everyone may agree with me I'm positive that this time around he'll connect with fans outside of the fandom
