Please do not post HDD rolling chart numbers here. It just confuses and upsets people. And it isn't accurate!!!
Okay, I really didn't know that. Nuff said with this one post! Sufficiently chastised and will never, ever do it again.

Billboard Chart week 2015-05-30 Pop Songs #39 Debut Adam Lambert Ghost Town Adult Pop Songs #29 wk 2 Adam Lambert Ghost Town
These positions correspond to the Mediabase Published Charts from 2015-05-17
Billboard Mediabase 5/30 5/17 #39 Pop Songs #40 CHR #29 Adult Pop Songs #29 HAC
5/23 5/10 #35 Adult Pop Songs #33 HAC
The positions will not always match up as you can see because the Billboard charts use a slightly different panel of radio stations compiled through Nielson. As I understand it they include some smaller market stations that Mediabase doesn't in addition to some other differences.

Is the negative CHR spincrease due to a drop in syndicated spins compared to last Sunday ? Possibly but the Leaders report shows that some of the leaders are backing off a bit. There are various reasons for this that are not necessarily about the song itself. Often the early leaders will back off as more stations come on board and then increase spins more gradually. As new songs come in to the stations playlists they have to make room for them by backing down on other songs spins. So we are still probably seeing the effects of stations jumping on the Taylor/Maroon5 bandwagon. Additionally this was a holiday weekend and some station do special programing around holidays by playing songs related to the holiday or doing special countdowns, etc. so Sat, Sun, & Mon spins will be affected by those types of things. CHR chart is kind of in a transition phase right now as a large percentage of the top songs are free falling so the next couple of weeks will see a whole new crop rising and GT is in that new crop of songs. HAC should see GT hitting a lot of the countdown shows this weekend so that should help. He's been in a plateau of very small gains since Thursday so I think it's likely that by this Thursday we'll start seeing better updates. He should easily pick up at least a couple of more positions here by the weekend. Plus there are 2 top 10 songs dropping that will go out if they drop out of the top 10 by this weekend. I looked at the 'Taking off' section everyday last week. But it did not have any new stations spinning it. Worrying ? Apologize that I do not have good knowledge of the mediabase chart, but I actually kind of expect that GT would have already picked up the steam. One hope is that Adam is in KTU concert this Sunday. Hope some New York stations increase their spins

Hope some New York stations increase their spins All Access was a bit weird last week in that I couldn't always bring up the leaders and starters and had to keep going back and checking. As for Taking Off he wasn't showing up on that report but he did still show up on spincrease. If it will make you feel better here is the starters from this morning: SONG CHARTS : STARTERS Mediabase ADAM LAMBERT Ghost Town Warner Bros. lw: May 11 - May 17 TW: May 18 - May 24 Station Market Format TW lw Move ovn am mid pm eve Aud KKPN-FM Corpus Christi, Top 40 5 5 5 0.002 KVLY-FM McAllen Top 40 4 4 3 1 0.012 WKSE-FM Buffalo Top 40 4 4 3 1 0.012 WHYI-FM Miami Top 40 3 3 2 1 0.022 WRNW-FM Milwaukee Top 40 3 3 1 2 0.007 WFLZ-FM Tampa Top 40 2 2 1 1 0.02 WJBQ-FM Portland, ME Top 40 2 2 1 1 0.007 KTBT-FM Tulsa Top 40 2 2 1 1 0.005
I couldn't pull a starters report on the 18th or the 23rd but I have starters for all the other days so there obviously were starters just All Access was being finicky and I couldn't get them any of the times I tried. In any case it really wouldn't have been anything to worry about really because we are 4 weeks from impact date and the song hasn't quite made it high enough in the charts to trigger the stations that only add based on chart positions so a lull in adds and starters is perfectly reasonable. New York stations are already increasing spins. Both Z100 and KTU increased in the last week.

You probably didn't realize that we had this exact same conversation about the worth or lack thereof regarding the building chart in last week's thread so peeps were getting a bit tichy about it. And we all get things mixed up occasionally, just see the end of last week's thread for my #thoughtIknewwhatIwastalkingabout #butreallydidn't ideas on the real rolling chart. All part of teaching old dogs like me new tricks.

However, I am really glad GT has received better worldwide recognition i.e Australia, Nordic countries and South Africa

It is impossible for All Access to list all the stations that are spinning GT. The leaders chart is incomplete, the starters chart is incomplete. There are currently 162 CHR stations spinning GT. 2 weeks ago, there were 127! There really is no reason to angst about how this song is doing on radio, at all!

Which site shows the number of spinners? I'd like to incorporate that into my charting.
