If true that's awesome that Sauli will be staying in LA. I want Adam to be happy and it's obvious that Sauli makes him happy. They can't get married like a heterosexual couple could in order for him to apply for a residency green card so he needs to have employment or student creditials to stay for an extended period of time.
I have no problem with Sauli benefiting from the connections to Adam, especially considering ALL of Adam's friends have benefited (some more than others) and Sauli can fulfill Adam's personal life in a way his friends can not. Adam wants to be in love and he is and if Sauli had to return to Finland I fear their relationship would never be sustainable at that distance. So it was either Adam moves to Finland or Sauli moves here.

OK, for those of you who live in areas with great mass transit, let me explain the bus situation that Sauli and Katri said "never again" to. Basically, mass transit in LA sucks big time! Hollywood to Hermosa Beach would be a 30 minute drive, at the most. It isn't even necessary to take the freeway to get there. So, a 90 minute ride, by bus, must have been agony. Also, it's been in the low 90s this week, so that would not make it a pleasant experience. I can completely undrestand why the people around them (Adam's friends and Adam perhaps) laughed when they said they were taking the bus. Everyone in LA has cars. It really is the only way to get around. I'm sure they had long wait times each time they had to transfer to another bus. Don't think there would be a direct bus from Hollywood to Hermosa Beach. But, on the positive side, what a gorgeous, gorgeous day it was. Once they got there it would have been a perfect beach day!

Hey Catzmadam -The surgery sucks (had a bit taken out of me in my 20's ). However, if you take your pain meds like a good girl, get LOTS of sleep, and do what the docs say, you'll be feeling MUCH better in a few weeks. Hugs and lollys, Hoppers

Smokey, sadz. Hanging around here tends to make one forget that there are some (many) people that are not ethical and trustworthy. Atopiates are a rare breed! May good karma be with you. Thank you. Trust me I'm angsting over this. It would have been a good closing date and everything would have seemingly fallen into place and we could move on. My husband is really upset with the lack of good faith negotiating. The buyer is a mid-level GE engineer. Don't know if you know this, but GE trains their engineers to be ruthless, bulliers and intimidators. Smokey- had to delurk to let you know my DH deals with GE all the time, and he totally agrees with you. However, he says that GE engineers hate to hear his name, he does not put up with their BS. Good for you! Ha!

May a better offer fall into place very soon. {{hugs}}

Yay, for Sauli being in LA! The way I understand it, Sauli is a very popular celebrity in Finland. I'm sure he got this job on his own credentials. But networking and working the system is the way Hollywood works. So if Adam helped, more power to him! Well, first: This station is aiming to be bigger and more popular (--> most popular?). It has during this past half year - year gathered some of the other station's "big" names to its' staff. Also people from other fields. All very popular here on their own rights, and by their own proven work - and Sauli is just one more addition of the same kind that came handy for them to hire. Probably first for a couple of months to see how it works and how big the interest is, then...? Second: Being entertainment reporter for a Finnish radio station doesn't mean inside scoops of Adam's friends or through his connections. It's more telling us Finns what all is happening in LA or USA, what movies, theatre, gala's, fashion, what ever and what all is happening there. With his own style, insight and humour - which is popular here. Worldwide not a big deal or a big job, but a good experience, opportunity and a paid job for Sauli. And gives him a chance to stay in LA and see how the relationship with Adam develops.
