I just saw on twitter that you are limited to 10 votes per IP on the Ultimate Idol poll. I guess that means 10 votes per day. I am so confused! Just got home and tried voting from home PC - it did NOT ask for the email address! So far, it has let me vote 20 times (so not limited to 10 for this IP address?) Good news is that Adam gained about 2% while I was driving home (half an hour or so) which also seems strange.... |

Kanadie Thanks for posting. As a big fan of Gavin from the days when we are all much younger, I was intrigued that Adam was following him. (Note/Warning: Gavin used to autofollow - at least for a while - anyone who followed him on twitter. that always freaks me out a little.) Over on the Music Recs thread, I dropped a vid of 'Glycerine' (one of the best songs ever? maybe) and a two more recent 'stripped' performances. Just adding some interesting six degrees of Adam/ Boy George/ Gavin trivia. He had an affair with a gender bending friend of Boy George when he was 17 that he recently admitted to. This article shows how brave and what a career risk it was for Adam to be honest. Gavin lied not because he was ashamed, but for fear of what it would do to his career. He was probably right at that time, at least about it affecting his career. Even in the two years since Adam was on Idol public opinion on gay issues have shifted a lot even if the politicians are still behind the times. After Adam Glee happened, Ricky Martin came out, Mikka came out (I think). I really think most people have no idea of the impact Adam had trying to break the radio barrier and public perceptions and the tight rope he had/has to walk. I hope some day after a long and respected career someone will write about his impact. |

I'm glad Adam could appreciate the sexy in Haley's performance. Lol, though I agree that her House of the Rising Sun was really very good, the word sexy never crossed my mind. I had a very bad day today at work, but listening to the way she sang it... really make me feel better. First of all House of the Rising Sun is one of my fav songs and Hailey sang it in bluesy jazzy way. I'm a Jazz fan.... her sexy voice gives me goosebump. Btw, I didn't watch Idol anymore.. I turn my attention to The Voice. However, I checked dial idol result and she's in the bottom. If she gets voted off tonight... it's going to piss Adam off (for the 2nd time after Pia)... so someone better gives her a contract deal...  |

I remember the Stefani American Idol performance...sadly she did not do herself any favours....all I can say is, it was a horrible experience to endure, but then Katy Perry's ET was not so grand either. Of course I was never keen on Aguilera either ...even though he was sending the message out (when asked).
Adam will have one some day ...I will assess at the time.
Today on my radio station 97.7 the DJ said save your money on the Matthew Morrison of Glee collaboration with Elton John (BIG NAME)... as it is bad ...and he played parts. Matthew's part in particular was bad. But the public buys, what the public wants.
PS The DJ is a huge Lambert fan.
Rossdale is also an acquaintance of David Cook's. They were using the same music producer, last year. (played golf together etc.) I wonder if that is part of it, song writing, producing.

@adamlambert Adam Lambert @hreinhartai10 just watched the TiVo of idol last night. That was the SEXIEST thing EVER on idol. Saaaaaaaang!!! 4 minutes ago Sorry, but I believe Adam holds that distinction!!!!!!!!!! Guess everyone else thought so too....Even my mom, who is a lesbian, knows that Adam's ROF is sexy! It's the only thing a man has done that I can recall her feeling that way about.....and she KNOWS that is sexy. Nuf said!  |
