It would be very much to your benefit to quickly update your account's email address to one you currently use. Believe me when I say that you REALLY want to do this.  Please SPREAD THE WORD on Twitter, FB, etc. Here's how to update your email address: 1. click on your username to access your profile. 2. on your profile page click Edit 3. in the email address field enter your current email address 4. then don't forget to scroll to the bottom and click on Save. 5. You should then see a pop up message that says your changes have been saved. You're done.

It will get the highest of the three songs on the countdown -- so the most listened to part of the show. It gets featured on the AT40 website. If it does not make the chart next week (and I think it will not make the countdown until the June 20 chart -- not sure), it is now more likely to be the "On The Verge" song or get picked as an extra. Most important: I do not think that GT was guaranteed to get an AT40 CHR spin. There are a lot of songs have more Top 40 spins than GT. I think that GT really needed to win to get on. "Lean On" was going to get a play as an extra song no matter what. It has over 3,000 spins but is too new to make AT40. If it won the Subway vote, there are other songs that they could have picked for Breakout -- Ed Sheeran "Photograph" for example. Rihanna is a AT40 regular -- so she was likely to get an extra. This will be the second week in a row that AO is "on the verge". On the May 23, 2015 the SUBWAY Fresh Buzz Song was: Rihanna "American Oxygen". She had two other songs on the AT40 in May -- Extra: Rihanna featuring Mikky Ekko - Stay May 16th, Rihanna featuring Kanye West & Paul McCartney - FourFiveSeconds (6 weeks in a row on countdown + 1 additional week as an extra) Two of the three songs were pretty much slam dunks to get played anyway and the poll is still accepting votes. While I don't disagree that GT 'winning' guarantees it a play and therefore was worthwhile, I still call it a bit of a scam. Yes, many/most of the radio games are scams -- but at least this one results in a ton of spins. |

GT currently has 6,108,893 mill plays on Spotify. It could well pass IHY which is just over 11 mill in the next 1-2 months. May even pass WWFM which is just over 23 mill this year alone. Doing very well. I don't think I have ever seen an AL radio single have this reception in the states. Airplay pretty shoddy in nz atm haha, but States is doing very well. Album drops here next Friday, then we get Fallon on Wednesday 5 days after. Selling really well atm with pre orders, could get a very good debut on our Rianz Top 40 Albums chart.
